August is vacation month for the French, it is the overheating month for Angelenos… at least you can get a tasty lunch at Roxy & Jo’s.

Alsace, in the glass. 🇫🇷🥂

Located in Eastern France, Alsace is known for its crisp, aromatic wines made from Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, along with dry, sparkling Crémant d’Alsace and a small number of reds, usually from Pinot Noir.

Domaine Josmeyer Mise du Printemps Pinot Blanc 2025

Fresh and floral, with mouthwatering minerality and gentle acidity, this organic wine offers hints of tropical fruits and citrus. A great match for light, white fish and elegant desserts, such as a lemon tart.

Gustave Lorentz L’ami des Crustacés Pinot Blanc Classique 2024
Saline, minerally and full of piquant acidity, this is a natural for oysters, crabs and shrimp, as well as with Nicoise Salad or on its own.

Gustave Lorentz Pinot Gris Grand Cru Kanzlerberg 2015

An opulent organic white wine from the smallest Grand Cru vineyard in Alsace and one of the region’s most legendary producers. Packed with flavors of white flowers, dried fruit and a hint of smokiness, it packs a punch at 14.5% alcohol, making it a perfect match for salty goat cheese, fruit confiture and white truffles.

A little taste of Eastern France, one glass at a time.

Too pretty to hide in the cupboard 🦪✨

These vintage French oyster plates, hand-sourced by Katy, bring a little je ne sais quoi to your table—each one unique, each one effortlessly chic. Because oysters deserve a stage.

A touch of France, right at home 🇫🇷

End-of-summer picnic, à la Monsieur Marcel: Brett’s chips, paper-thin prosciutto, vibrant hot peppers, and creamy goat cheese, paired with a perfectly chilled red. 🍷

Simplicity, elevated—when every detail is thoughtfully chosen. Pack a bag, chill the wine, find the sun, and call it a picnic. Effortless, yet très bon.

🧡 A little late-summer luxury has returned.

Cavaillon melon, prosciutto, and the very best kind of French timing. Catch this sweet-and-salty classic at the Bistro for lunch, featured on our weekend specials for the final days of summer.

One last taste of the season, à bientôt. 🇫🇷☀️

Like this cheese? We have a French/Basque recommendation for you. 🧀

Love Etorki? Meet Ossau-Iraty Réserve.
Still Basque, still sheep’s milk, but firmer, nuttier, grassier, with a lovely sweet finish.

Love Langres? Go for Époisses.
Richer. Funkier. More gloriously washed-rind. ✨

Consider this your sign to try something new at the cheese counter.

Pastis + pétanque. Summer isn’t over. 🥂

Pour it, chill it, play a round. And yes, the vintage glassware matters.

Come by Monsieur Marcel and make it a French summer.
