Housed in a historic building that was originally Charlie Chaplin’s office, République offers traditional and contemporary French cuisine and boasts an open kitchen, bakery, charcuterie counter, and raw bar. The space has been beautifully restored with original fixtures, period lighting, bar stools, and reclaimed wood tables to preserve the classic architecture from the 1920s structure. 1. Public transport: Take the Metro Bus 212 or 217 to S La Brea Ave and Wilshire Blvd. Walk south on S La Brea Ave for about 3 blocks.
2. Driving/parking: From downtown Los Angeles, take the I-10 West and exit at La Brea Ave. Turn right onto S La Brea Ave and continue north for about 1 mile. Limited street parking is available, but there is also a paid parking lot located behind the restaurants accessed via S Hauser Blvd.
