Really not that iconic of Taix. More so just something Mr Taix enjoyed since a winemaker friend gave it to him. Thank you and friends please encourage your buddy to bring this back today.

Hello customer! I have your name and credit card info, a full face shot of you, witnesses who reported you and video footage from the room that you removed the Embridge signed photo to Mike Taix . To protect your privacy I am not showing that but this is not ok. You have until tomorrow (Friday night) to return this no questions asked. Otherwise Taix will file felony charges. We need you to give this print to be returned to the valet between 5-10 pm tomorrow Friday, March 20th.

Opera cake is a French cake. It is made with layers of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup, layered with ganache and coffee French buttercream, and covered in a chocolate glaze. Its namesake originates from the layers resembling the levels of an opera house. 🍰

What people say
French restaurants are known for their exquisite cuisine, elegant ambiance, and impeccable service. Taix French Restaurant on W Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles is no exception. This family-owned restaurant has been a landmark in the downtown area since 1927 and continues to serve authentic French country cuisine at affordable prices.
The restaurant's history dates back to 1912 when Marius Taix Sr. built a hotel called the Champ d’Or in downtown Los Angeles’ French quarter. In 1927, Marius Taix Jr. opened Taix French restaurant within the hotel serving chicken dinners for 50 cents at long "family-style" tables. Today, the restaurant has moved to its present location and offers private booths instead of family-style seating.
Despite these changes, Taix French Restaurant remains faithful to its roots by serving a tureen of soup, fresh french bread, and abundant portions of French country cuisine at affordable prices. The extensive wine list curated by Michael Taix has won numerous awards and complements the delicious food perfectly.
What sets Taix French Restaurant apart is its vintage staff who have served generations of customers with warmth and hospitality. The restaurant's character has remained unchanged over the years thanks to Raymond Taix's dedication to preserving his family's legacy.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an authentic French dining experience that won't break the bank, look no further than Taix French Restaurant on W Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
