Highland Park Bowl

Highland Park Bowl Highland Park Bowl is a unique restaurant that combines the fun of bowling with delicious pizza. Built in 1927, the restaurant has a rich history of serving patrons during the prohibition era. A massive mural painted by The Anderson Brothers provides an Instagram-worthy backdrop to the lanes, and there is even a live music permit, which adds yet another layer of culture to this destination. In 1966, Mr. T's purchased the building and renamed it Mr. T's Bowl. Over time, the bowling component diminished, but nowadays, this restaurant still offers an unforgettable experience for foodies and bowling enthusiasts alike.

What people say

Highland Park Bowl is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a unique and historic experience in Los Angeles. As the oldest operating bowling alley in the city, it has a rich history that has been carefully preserved by 1933 Group. The building itself dates back to 1927 and was once home to doctors' offices, a pharmacy, music store, and recreation space during prohibition. Today, visitors can enjoy bowling on the original lanes while admiring the stunning mural painted by the Anderson Brothers during the 1930s Arts & Crafts Movement. The pizza at Highland Park Bowl is also not to be missed - it's delicious and pairs perfectly with a game of bowling. Overall, Highland Park Bowl is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fun night out with friends or family in a unique and historic setting.
