Found this photo while cleaning out some old files the other day. The red arrow points to a Bait and Tackle Shop where the Galley is now. I can only guess this photo was taken in the late forties or early fifties. What do you think? Do you see the Coca-Cola sign? Can you see the Balboa Yacht Basin?
Rumor has it, a woman sold homemade chili simmering on a hot plate, where local boaters, and fisherman would come and help themselves. They would leave some money on the honor system in the garage right next to the Bait and Tackle Shop.
