Sqirl always does a little something for Mother’s Day and this year that something looks like a Crispy Sourdough Waffle topped with Calamansi curd and a Raspberry Vanilla preserve served with a side rhubarb maple syrup. We’ll be serving them all weekend and if you’re not in sunny LA, Sqirl is sharing the recipe for you to cook for the Mom in your life! (You can use this as a pancake recipe too).
You’ll need a waffle maker, some Avocado oil, and your fav preserves and/or curds. Link to full recipe in our bio :) Xoxo

Two months into dinner service and the response has been wildly, heart-burstingly amazing, very emotional, and just thank you!
It feels like we’ve welcomed a newborn into the family - like we couldn’t wait for them (dinner) to arrive and now that they’re here we can’t imagine what life was like before/without them. 14 years just breakfast and lunch and now dinner? We felt the dubiety and met it with something wonderful.
With that said, a few very kind, very patient friends let me snap photos of their meals (almost) before diving. So here’s a little collection of unfiltered dinners—turns out I need to find my way to tables before the desserts drop because they are destroyed too quickly! Big hugs. 🫂
1. Beet Agnolotti + Big Green
2. Chicken Liver
3. Masa Onion Rings + Avocado Ketchup
4. Black Cod, Roe Whey Butter
5. Housemade Fries, Morita Aioli (yes we have ketchup)
6. Kombucha Slushie + Sqimps
7. Jidori Chicken, Bagna Cauda
8. Denver Steak, Oxtail Demi
9. Eton Mess, Calamansi Curd, Rhubarb

The wine is flowing, the charcoal is hot, the sqimps are sqimping, and the pencils are sharpened.
Last week we ran out of our jotting paper as we’ve been surprised by the high demand to tell us how you feel about dinner and or draw us a really bad/good portrait of your date.
Just got a fresh batch in so that you can keep ‘em comin’
