👨🍳 Chef Justin opened his debut restaurant in 2017, where he not only launched his culinary career but also met his life and business partner, Mackenzie.
Beautiful Day is their family-owned and operated farm-to-table restaurant with its first location in La Quinta. They are now excited to bring their breakfast and lunch concept to Los Angeles 🔥

It is with deep sadness that I share that Jewel 💎 will be closing at the end of this month.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have served you and to have sustained Jewel as an independent, plant-based restaurant for the past 6.5 years.
The recent years did of course present numerous unforeseen challenges, both personal and professional. At times it has honestly felt too heavy to hold but I have never felt alone in my experience. I have witnessed the heartbreaks, transitions, and celebrations of your lives, as you have with mine.
It has been a privilege to share and exchange our lives this way. And it is that opportunity for connection that is the magic of restaurants and the heart of hospitality for me 💗
I am proud that Jewel successfully fulfilled its mission to be a welcoming and safe space for all. 🌈 As a q***r woman and an immigrant, this vision for fostering an inclusive community was intrinsic to Jewel.
So it is you—our cherished patrons and dedicated staff—who have shaped us into what we are today.
As we approach our last two weeks, I extend a heartfelt invitation to revisit your favorite Jewel dishes one last time and to support our team as we navigate this transition.
