Greetings Parsonage...

I talked about chicken. I talked about R&D. I talked about pictures.

Here is a picture from our R&D sessions working on chicken. I believe we're making good progress.

Come in. Drink wine. Eat chicken (also steak, shrimp & grits, ramp and fresh morel linguini...you know, normal stuff).

See you in a couple few days.

Greetings Parsonage...

Have we told you lately that we miss you? Well, we do.

June 5,6,12, and 13 we are going to get our early summer vibes on. Like, cherries and berries and morels and chicken and something called "Denver steak". Potato salad and corn and a bunch of other stuff to make you happy. After all, that's all we really want, for you to be happy.

Reservations on yelp.

We'll see you in a few days.

Oh, I'll try and post some R&D pics as they come.

Greetings Parsonage...

So, first things first, to everyone that came out last weekend...it was so great to see you. All of you. I hope that everyone left here in a better headspace than they came here. Really great couple of nights. We'll do it again in a few months.

It is such a great moment of community to be in a place where literally everyone can relate to you. So rare.

Also, open this weekend (2/6 and 2/7).

Reservations on yelp now.

In regards to the general strike of 1/30...

We stand with Minnesota.
We stand with the people.

While we are not open for business as usual, we will be hosting our Altadena Community Supper as planned. From our perspective, supporting and feeding our community is the best thing we can do.

Greetings Parsonage...

Updates on the Altadena Community Supper this weekend (Jan 30 and 31):

If you haven't seen, we're doing a shrimp boil situation this weekend for Altadena folks (all are welcome but please understand the bit). It will be $10, communal tables, and served family style. If you can not do $10, please let us know. We do not want anyone to be excluded for 10$.

This will NOT be our full menu. It will be salad, shrimp boil, and some dessert. Please let us know if you will be needing a vegan option so that we can do our best to accommodate.

Seatings are at 5pm and 715 on both nights. Dinner will be about 90 minutes and please note that we need to flip the whole restaurant in between seatings so be patient with our chaos.

We still have some few seats available for each seating (not many though).

Reservations are available on yelp.com.

Greetings Parsonage....

Reservations on now on Yelp. We are rapidly migrating from OpenTable and it will soon not be a thing. So, yelp.

Real quick first thing, the restaurant is open this weekend (Jan 23/24) for normal hours and normal service. Friday and Saturday. Come on in and check out a bunch of new menu items.

OK, Altadena (and friends of Altadena), January 30 and 31 is for you.

We will be having a community supper and fundraiser on January 30 and 31. $10 shrimp boil (alt meal will be available). Communal tables, two seatings per night, family style dinner service. We just want to have a thing for folks that have been flung so far and wide to be together in the same room for a minute. If you can't swing the price tag, please DM. We do not want anyone left out that wants to be part.

Throughout the weekend we will be taking donations for altadenamusicians.org. Music folks doing great work to support other music folks.

Let us know if yall got questions. Otherwise, where are reservations? That's right, yelp.

Greetings Neighbors...

So, what a f%&ked up 12 months huh?

Ok, so, as many of you know, my wife and I are the owners of a quirky little pop-up restaurant called Henry Parsons Project down on Arroyo in Pasadena (address to follow).

Last year, a couple weeks after the fires, we hosted a community dinner. It was pretty great. We know that much has changed in the last 12 months. Some likely better. Some worse. Some a continuation of a grind that none of us signed up for.

We would like to do that community thing again. So, here we go...

Altadena Community Supper II
January 30 and 31
Two seatings each night 5pm and 7:15pm
$10 Shrimp boil (vegetarian, vegan, allergy accommodations will be available)
541 S Arroyo Parkway

Reservations available at yelp (search for Henry Parsons Project and there will be a link for Reservations) or at henryparsonsproject.com
We're going to limit to 60 guests per seating so that we can do this right.

Seating will be communal and dinner will be family style.

Additionally, we will be taking donations for altadenamusicians.org throughout the weekend.

So lets get together, laugh a little, cry a little, rage a little, hug a little, and eat a lot.

Feel free to post questions.
We'll do our best to get 'em answered.

We will keep you posted.

Welcome to our Veranda! Join us for outdoor dining. A menu of comforting food, seasonal ingredients, in a warm and welcoming space

Greetings Parsonage...

We are changing our reservations platform and moving to Yelp. OpenTable will be up for this week (1/16-17) but will then be shut down. This has been a long time coming but here we are.

We will post more links and things on other platforms where it is easier but for now, go to yelp.com, search for Henry Parsons Project, and then simply click the "make a reservation" link. It couldn't be easier.

Also, January 30/31 we will be doing an Altadena community shrimp boil (we will also feed the vegetarians and vegans out there too). 2 seatings each night. $10. We'll also be taking donations for Altadenamusicians.org. More information on that in the next day or two.

TL/DR:
reservations move to yelp.com

Greetings Parsonage...

Happy New Year to all of you. 2025 was not the most gentle of years. Here's to 2026 being a year of peace, progress, community, and light. Let's go.

First off, the gratitude. We ended our year with a delightful night here at the restaurant. Saw some familiar, met some new, got to send the year off in a really positive way. We simply can't thank you all enough for being there with us, and at times, for us. We don't exist without you, and we really like existing.

Our start to the new year has been already filled with talk of food, talk of positivity, and talk of what to do to make it all better all the way around. We have some new dishes (cajun stuffed poblano) and some returning (chicken wings, grilled cauliflower) coming to the restaurant. We'll be posting some pics as we R&D. Gonna be good.

Restaurant will be open January 16/17, 24/25, and 30/31* with reservations available on OpenTable (and Yelp pretty soon).

Two things to mention before we head back in to the kitchen...

1. We will be moving our reservations system to Yelp sometime in January. We will let you all know as that transition happens. Nothing different right now.

2. We will be doing an Altadena community dinner and fundraiser on January 30/31. It'll be a $10 shrimp boil or something like that. It'll also be a fundraiser for Altadena Musicians. More information on that in the next couple days.

So there you go. First post of 2026.
Always remember, we appreciate you. We hope that you all find this year to give you more gentle.

Greetings Parsonage,

Just a couple quick updates for y'alls...

New dishes! Tuna Crudo with Jicama in a Hibiscus Vinaigrette (pictured). Also still working the pork green chili fry bao and the pecan pie.

Also, this weekend is our only open weekend in September, so if you need a fix, you know what to do (OpenTable).

We are open one weekend in October (10-11).

We'll be in the kitchen if you need us.

Greetings Parsonage...

As always we here hope that you there are well, happy, and plowing through each and every day with all the joy that can be mustered.

August update:
We are up at the project August 8, 9, 15, 16, 29, 30. So for all those that requested we be open more, here's the most we'll be open until December or so.

It's pretty much hatch chili season so look for some pork green chili real soon (maybe this weekend, maybe next). It's my 2nd favorite seasonal food situation.

The summer menu is pretty great. Adding some zucchini this weekend...I know that doesn't sound all that sexy, but it is. Still crushing the peaches and tomatoes and doing the summer vibes as much as possible before it is gone from the markets.

So, as always, we hope to see you real soon.

All the best.
