Darren's Restaurant, a popular neighborhood retreat located in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach, was known for its globally-inspired new American cuisine. Owned by notable chef Darren Weiss, the restaurant showcased his unparalleled classical technique and reflected his extensive culinary journey. With Mediterranean- and Pacific Rim-influenced dishes, the menu offered a refined-yet-welcoming beachside dining experience. Darren's reputation soared over the years due to its award-winning cuisine, approachable staff, and an enticing selection of craft cocktails and world-class wines. Unfortunately, Darren's has been permanently closed. Please note that Chef Darren is now at Chelsea Pub and Lounge in Hermosa Beach.

To get to Manhattan Avenue in Manhattan Beach, you have a few options for public transport and driving/parking:
Public Transport:
1. Take the Metro Rail (Blue Line) to the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station.
2. Transfer to the Metro Bus Line 125 towards El Segundo/Rosecrans.
3. Get off at the Manhattan Ave/Artesia Blvd stop.
Driving/Parking:
1. If you're coming from downtown Los Angeles, take I-110 South towards San Pedro.
2. Merge onto CA-91 West and continue onto I-105 West.
3. Take exit 2 for Prairie Ave and turn left onto Prairie Ave.
4. Continue straight on Prairie Ave until you reach Manhattan Beach Blvd, then turn right.
5. Turn left onto Manhattan Ave, where you will find various parking options along the street or nearby parking lots/garages.
