While we’ll always be a thick burger shop first and foremost, we’ve spent years perfecting a smash burger that showcases our custom blend Golden State grind from at The Farmer’s Market.

For over a decade I lived in New York. When I came back for visits my mom would pick me up from the airport. Her first question as I got in her car: do you want to go home or should we stop at Eduardo’s? Usually, the answer was Eduardo’s. It wasn’t just because you can’t find a decent burrito in New York. Eduardo’s isn’t just a decent burrito. It’s special food. It’s something that when you eat it, you feel better than before. So when I heard that Eddie, the founder of Eduardo’s, might be closing I approached him to see if he might be willing to pass the torch. There is a magic at Eduardo’s, that is very much worth saving. And that’s what we’ve agreed to do. Over the last few months, Eddie has been transitioning the business to Jason and me. Our pledge is to change nothing, which is actually quite a challenge. Over nearly 40 years, Eddie set the bar incredibly high for consistency, quality and most important treating staff so well many have stayed on since the beginning. Los Angeles has seen so many special places disappear in the past several years. Not just the famous names, but the neighborhood institutions. Eduardo’s is one place that’s sticking around.

Happy New Year to all those who observe; no matter your denomination (parent of young children who considers watching the ball drop on the east coast a stretch goal, or champagne fueled wildling who doesn’t consider the party fully underway until the dateline crosses American Samoa) we respect and honor your traditions. We will be open regular hours New Year’s Day, serving our Holiday Special Brisket Breakfast Burrito along with all our usual offerings. Please be gentle with us.
