Today we joined the peaceful protest in Cerritos to support the fight against racism, bigotry, and police brutality. We marched with hundreds of wonderful people of many different races and ages in memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless others who have lost their lives because of senseless racism. We can't express how proud we are of our community for conducting themselves in a peaceful and respectful manner. We'd also like to thank the police on hand for giving out water to those of us marching and escorting us safely from Gridley Park to the Cerritos Sherriff's Station. We loved hearing everybody's stories of what compelled them to protest. Though we will never truly know what it's like to be Black in a world like this, we want you to know we are listening and willing to help in any way we can. We're a long way from ending racism, but events like today show we are taking steps in the right direction. All we need to do is love one another and treat everybody with dignity and respect. Keep fighting the good fight and stay safe! @ Cerritos Sheriff's Station
