Emergency food is not one-size-fits-all.
To our Garden Grove and Orange County neighbors affected by the chemical incident and evacuations: my heart is with you.
I live in Orange County. I love this community. I have always believed that when our neighbors are under stress, we show up in the ways we are uniquely built to help.
So many incredible people and organizations are helping right now — the Red Cross, Orange County agencies, first responders, hotel partners, volunteers, and neighbors supporting neighbors.
At Chef Nourish, our role is very specific: we want to help the people whose food needs may be harder to meet during displacement.
Because being away from home does not pause diabetes.
It does not pause heart disease.
It does not pause food allergies, celiac disease, kidney concerns, pregnancy nutrition, sensory food needs, autism-related food routines, post-surgery recovery, athletic training, religious food practices, cultural food traditions, or the way a family has learned to eat to stay healthy.
Some families can eat whatever is available in an emergency. Others cannot.
A senior may need low-sodium meals.
A child may need familiar foods.
A person with allergies may need ingredient awareness.
A responder may need real fuel for long shifts.
A family in a hotel may simply need healthy, ready-to-heat meals they can trust.
That is where Chef Nourish can help.
We are offering Garden Grove Prepared Meal Support for affected residents, hotel guests, families, caregivers, seniors, responders, and organizations supporting displaced households.
Chef Nourish provides chef-prepared, nutritionist-guided, ready-to-heat meals for special diets, healthy routines, families without kitchen access, and people who need food that feels safe and nourishing during a stressful time.
To support affected households, we are waiving the delivery fee on prepared meal orders for Garden Grove and Orange County residents impacted by the evacuation or temporary displacement.
Meals are paid prepared meal orders. Delivery fee is waived for affected households.
