Dear Moreno Valley family,
For more than 30 years, you have allowed José’s Mexican Food to be part of your family dinners, lunch breaks, celebrations, team meals, church gatherings, and everyday memories.
Now we are asking you to stand with us.
Our landlord is trying to replace our long-standing local restaurant with a national tenant - even though we have not missed rent, we are current on our obligations, and we have a binding lease with options until 2040.
This is not about opposing progress. It is about fairness, due process, and protecting a small family business from being financially worn down by big business with deeper pockets.
Please read our letter on previous post, share it, and help us ask the City to deny CUP -0136 until the courts have fully resolved the matter.

After serving this community for 30+ years, our family-owned Mexican restaurant is now facing eviction — to make way for a McDonald’s.
This is bigger than one restaurant. It’s about whether long-standing local businesses can be pushed out by corporate interests using misleading tactics.
Corporate greed should never erase local family businesses.

Hi Family! We are still in limbo trying to get our Moreno Valley location to stay put! We created a petition to present to the council members at the Public Hearing on May 28. As of now it’s happening and we would love for you to sign the petition and also come to the hearing at 6pm on 05/28/26 - Moreno Valley City Hall.
