Happy Easter 🐣! Our dear friend Sam sent this and what a blessed gift to receive this amazing photo.
Marquez Ave circa 1950’s - an Easter egg hunt on the hillside across the street from Vittorio’s, Knolls Pharmacy, Ronny’s cleaners, Ronny’s Liquor, and so many others share this community.
Amazing times we had, and many more to come!
Missing you all.

3 months to the Day. Seems like a bad dream. I never thought I would miss those garlic rolls (after eating them for 35 years) . Never thought I would dream about our 🍕 pizza. Nerve thought I’d be writing this post about a lost restaurant to a fire that should have never happened BUT, here we are.
We are still picking up the pieces, missing our friends and customers, figuring out our next move, talking with our friends and reaching out to the community for some semblance of normal.
And sometimes, we scroll through our photos and post to feel like we belong.
We miss you Palisades. We miss you Marquez Knolls. We miss you everyone. ❤️

Saturdays were always a busy day for us. From prepping to cooking to setting up the dining room, there was always something to do.
Our chefs would start early making the sauces, from scratch, marinating the meats, chopping the fresh vegetables, shredding the countless parmigiana cheese wheels…
We didn’t own a microwave or a heating drawer. We made our pastas, our pumpkin and prosciutto raviolis, the fettuccine and the pappardelle.
We honored our guests food requests (and sometimes winced at them 😜), but through it, we were there for our little village.
We miss you ❤️ all

Today was a good day.
We came together as a family in mourning and laughed, cried, and hugged it out. These people made Marquez Knolls what it is today, a community center, a refuge, a church of love and respect, but most of all, a place we all called home the last 40 years.
Hank and Leslie from Paws and Claws, Ronny from Ronny’s Cleaners, Will from Ronny’s liquor store, Stephanie from Oasis, Gordon and Shirley from Knolls Pharmacy, Adele and Grayson from Gray Dragon, and us, Sabrina, Mercedes and me from Vittorio’s.
We are grieving and getting through this together. We are finding our way leaning on each other, and we are building on the lifelong relationships we have had with each other.
No fire is going to break this bond. Not now. Not ever.

It’s been 23 days since we lost our beloved Vittorios. We are still lost. We haven’t quite accepted it. And we still hope that this is a terrible nightmare that we will wake up from.
But, we are strong most days and try to put one foot in front of the other. We continue to work and rebuild and come back stronger than we were. We talk to customers, friends, employees, strangers who care and mourn with us. And that is what keeps us going.
I find pictures of us, of our home, our community center, a place of refuge in my photos and I want to cry.
Today, I will start a with one post of what it was, and hopefully soon, what it will come back to be.
We love our little village. We will be back.

January 10,2025- At 11:30am yesterday we visited Vittorios. It is a war zone. Nothing left but burnt metal, wood, broken pieces of furniture and equipment mangled into what was 40 years of our life’s work. 1000’s of memories, 1000’s of meals, and not a shred of evidence left except the memoirs we hold in our hearts and minds. We are a small business with 16 amazing employees and their families who have been left shattered. We are heartbroken but we are NOT broken. We will rebuild. We will remember. We will come back from the ashes. 💔 Thank you to the incredible outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and customers from all over the world. We know that you stand with us during this heart wrenching time. Palisades is vibrant and strong. This fire doesn’t know who it’s dealing with! #
