Our founder takes us through the history and development of the now popular Flat White.

So what happened after the Italians brought their espresso machines and coffee culture to Australia?

The Flat white was developed. But it went through multiple iterations before standardization kicked in.

Coffee professionals wanted to create official ratios of milk to espresso.

Our founder shares the modern flat white here.

The Story of THE FLAT WHITE☕️ PART 1/2

Our founder takes us through the history and development of the now popular Flat White.

While there so “official” story, we go back in time to when the Italians arrived in Melbourne, Australia - bringing their espresso machines and coffee culture which laid the foundation for locals to create the flat white.

Within time, locals were inspired to transform their coffee drinks. Prior to the Italians arriving with their new machinery, tea dominated most meals… Coffee was considered a more niche beverage, viewed with skepticism, as it was usually made from instant powdered brands like Nescafé.
