After her decision of closing of Kinkan restaurant, chef Nan relocated to South Bay, that is again lucky to gain another wonderful chef in the community. As we all eagerly await of the opening of KinKan market- and to celebrate we are very excited to bring this collaboration dinner to you for two nights only this October. Tickets for the event will go live this weekend. Stay tuned and come cheer with us!

She’s a 💯 Texan. When she starts her shift, she always comes in guns blazin!
She held the secrets of chick-fil-a for a long time and no matter how much chicken we make for family meal- the answer is always No on any chick-fil-a sauce making. It’s ok, we still get by without it…😂
A proud lefty, but we hope the everyday mochi production will strengthen her right hand.
She’s got huge heart and many talents, but one thing to note- tequila hates to see her coming!

Who is this young lady? She has her hands in much of VinFolk!
World, please meet chef Simone!
Simone started with us last year and chef Elijah has officially become not the youngest member of the VF family :)
She’s is what you call it a culmination. Besides being a wonderful lady, her persistence and intelligence know no borders and she’s just getting ready for the Big Game😉
We promised to raise her well! Learning all from zero is always hard, but at least when prepping Simone doesn’t burn the tart filling anymore ☺️💪
She is a big crusher and pusher!
P. S for all the millennials out there- she’s has the best impression of Jennifer Coolidge!🫣

Hey Folk! Heres some big news for the South Bay Community!
“ We’d like to thank everyone who welcomed us to be a part of the South Bay. It’s been a great year and a half with all of you - and we are thrilled every day to be a part of our mighty community! :)
Day to day, we thank our wonderful guests; you notice us for what we are. It fills us with much joy as our team builds connections with you, and those connections don’t know “time”.
We enjoyed transporting the way we look at food into a bistro setting. But most of all, we loved changing your mind :) With all that being said,
achieve at times. We love, care and cherish our craft. It’s been on our minds for quite some time. We must evolve along with all of you. It is with great pleasure and careful consideration, VinFolk restaurant will now offer a 10-course seasonal Tasting menu!
To give you an idea of what’s going to happen, the 10-course tasting menu will be reservations only for the indoor dining room priced at 175$ per person. For our lovely w**e folks, we will also be offering a w**e pairing offered at 55$ per person alongside the tasting menu. However, all is not lost, for those cozy beach walks, the patio seating will be open for those who would like to enjoy a bottle of w**e and a small a la carte menu of some of your favorites!
The tasting menu is set to launch in the middle of august. Reservations for august of the dining room will be released on July 18, 2026. Many changes are to follow, but if you trust us- we promise to wow you one more time. Until then... stay with us and come have your most favorite bistro menu for the time left!“

We are so very grateful for another year and for retaining the Michelin Bib Gourmand of 2026!
All of the praise with awards wouldn’t be achievable without the incredible team we are lucky to have. They work so hard every single day- and they are “all in” kind of people!
And we could never express enough of gratitude to all of our wonderful guests and their support.
To all the FOLK of VF- you make this happen! Our farmers, fishermen, suppliers and people of all craft- thank you!
We will continue spread the love and warmth of hospitality, always try to make you happy, grow together and actually are ready to announce something…
VinFolk is evolving and we are preparing something very special for all of you this summer!

It’s finally time for all to meet chef Josh.
SoCal native, everyday he’s beaming with sunshine! His smiles and laughs are the best, I’m sure the neighbors have heard him over in the patio. He is a gentleman and is always there to pull the chair for you. He is flawless on the floor(well, now he is😉) and we are so stoked to have him on the line soon. Chef Josh has taken us around the world with his family meal(which has been excellent every time ) and we think he is running out of ideas 😉
