Notice from Claireā¦. Paulās Sister.
Thank you so much for the hundreds of messages, love and support shown to all our family during this incredibly difficult time. We are truly overwhelmed and deeply grateful.
We have now been able to arrange the date and venue for Paulās funeral. The service will be held on Tuesday 9th June at 1pm at Blackley Crematorium, Victoria Avenue, Manchester, M9 8PJ and it will also be livestreamed with a link to follow.
We are currently organising a venue for food and drinks after the service, or as Paul would have called it, āa proper p**s upā. We will update everyone with details over the coming days. If you are planning to attend the wake, please message me privately as this will help us with the catering numbers.
Most importantly, we want this to be a celebration of Paulās life. Weād love everyone to wear football shirts of their choice, and Iām sure Paul will forgive the united fans just this once. Although, as he always reminded us, Manchester is, and always will be blue š
For anyone who doesnāt have a football shirt, please feel free to wear bright colours in honour of Paul.

Just a quick update on when weāll be doing a āCelebration of lifeā for Paul at The Shamrock.
As a mark of respect we will wait until Paulās sister and the family have their āCelebration of lifeā for Paul back in Manchester. It could be a couple of weeks before we can move forward to honor him. I will put a post on social media well in advance as soon as things become a bit clearer.
On behalf of Paulās sister Claire, Iād like to say a massive THANK YOU for all the heartfelt messages youāve all been sending, she and the family are truly touched be them all.

Tomorrow night we play The Shamrock Irish Pub, Murrieta. We are saddened with the news of Paulās passing today! We have been part of the āShamilyā since almost day one, Paul and Graham have given this band such a great venue to play over the years! We will never forget Paul introducing us before every show, the storyās, the jokes and the great nights we had! So tomorrow we will raise a glass in his honor and as he always liked to say when wearing a kilt! He was in the McDonaldās clan! As he had a quarter pounder under there! We will miss you mate! RIP.

I write this post with a very heavy heartā¦ I received the saddest news this morning from Paulās sister Claire, that Paul has sadly passed away back in Manchester. To say he was a decent, loving, caring and for sure entertaining man would be an understatement. I truly canāt find the words right now that could explain our Shamrock journey together and nobody but Paul and myself will ever understand but we know and thatās all that matters. We will of course have a Celebration of life for Paul at The Shamrock soon and I will let everyone know the details as soon as Claire, Paulās Sister lets me know itās ok.
Right now we need to respect the family And let them deal with this extremely difficult time.
RIP Paul, no more pain and suffering for you apart from Manchester Cityās games š©µā¤ļøš©µ. I so wish we could have had a chance to have a hug and say goodbyeā¦ love you.
