KINJIRO KINJIRO is a Japanese restaurant located in Little Tokyo, LA, specializing in artisanal Izakaya dishes and offering an extensive selection of premium sake. The restaurant has gained recognition from reputable sources such as LATimes for its must-try Japanese pub experience. While KINJIRO is currently only open for patio dining and takeout due to the pandemic, it's worth the wait for indoor dining as the restaurant works on getting their space ready to welcome guests back at 25% capacity.

LA County has announced that restaurants can re-open for indoor dining at 25% capacity starting Monday. While we are extremely excited, please understand that we will not re-open indoor dining until we are absolutely ready to do so. Please expect us to be ready in two to three weeks time.

In the meantime, our staff will be busy servicing our patio and pickup guests, getting our indoor dining area back into shape, and getting vaccinated. :)

Happy Valentine's weekend!
(We saw some Harry's Berries at the market yesterday and picked some up. The most amazing strawberries available!)

A quick update about our patio-dining plans, as we're so humbled to have received many, many inquiries. Thank you so much!

- As we are limited to only two outdoor tables (with the new Health Dept. guidelines requiring 8ft distance between tables), we are still trying to figure things out on how to make this work out.

- We began patio-dining experimentally this week, for walk-in guests only, for limited hours. We will try this again next week, Thursday to Sunday.

- We hope to be able to begin taking reservations soon; we will make an announcement here when we do.

- Our patio will be closed both tonight (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday) so we can focus on our Valentine's Pickup orders.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding as we try to figure this out. Please continue to stay safe and healthy!

Less than an hour left for 2020! To all of our fans who have followed us here and/or visited us at the restaurant, we thank you so much for all of the love and support this year.

As I was looking through our 2020 pictures, this image of our Thick-cut Beef Tongue jumped out. This dish has been our most popular dish since the day we opened in 2014 and I would never have imagined we would serve it in a To-Go box, but 2020 challenged us to adapt. Some popular dishes have disappeared from our menu during the pandemic, and some new ones have appeared, but our tried-and-true Beef Tongue remains delicious and is still our most popular dish.

As we move on to a new year, we feel blessed that we can continue to cook and provide delicious dishes and hopefully provide some joy during these difficult times.

We wish you all a Happy New Year and hope you all have a healthy and safe 2021!
