Friends, we know that there are many rumors going around about the closure of Driftwood Kitchen and The Deck on Laguna, so we want to take a moment to share that both restaurants will continue operating through August before closing to make way for the redevelopment of the entire Pacific Edge Hotel property.

Over the past decade, we’ve seen more than 50 restaurants in Laguna close for financial reasons - we want to emphasize that is not the case here. Since their openings, both restaurants became icons, embraced by locals and tourists alike. We have been honored with many awards and acknowledgements, during our tenure - from being named as “Best New Restaurant” by Orange Coast Magazine, to consistently earning a place on Brad Johnson’s “75 Best Places to Eat in Orange County” in the OC Register.

We value the many guests that have joined us - we have served nearly one million oysters, including 10 years of Sip & Shuck events, which raised money for local nonprofit organizations.

We’re here for the next month, and we intend to make every day count!
