✨ Hey Foodies! Well, it’s finally that time again! The weather has cooled down a bit, but Summer is still in full swing here in sunny California and we are definitely still utilizing that grill!!! This months menu is showcasing flavorful dishes from around the world that I hope you will enjoy.

💜 A little bit about this months menu: First, we are going to Asia for a client requested Lo-Mein; noodles, veggies, protein and a delicious sauce! What’s not to love!? After that, we are headed to the Middle East where the food is so flavorful and satisfying! Chicken Kebabs are marinated in yogurt and lemon with fresh herbs to keep them moist and tender on the grill. The Beef and Vegan Kofta are both loaded with delicious warming spices like cinnamon that both smell and taste delicious. The next stop is Spain where I am bringing you more grilled proteins with a rich and flavorful Romesco Sauce. This sauce is not spicy at all, in fact it is made with Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Almonds and Breadcrumbs, so it does contain nuts and gluten for anyone concerned about those things. Finally, I am offering something really special on this menu. This is a recipe that I just learned from a Private Chef in The Hamptons, so it’s off to Long Island for a Fresh Grilled Tuna Salad. This salad is made using freshly grilled albacore tuna and simply seasoned with celery salt and Scratch-Made Mayonnaise and it is truly, truly special. A little summer treat from me to you! Try serving it on a fresh slice of ripe tomato!

💜✨ Hey Foodies!!! Big news! I am going to be officially opening my books back up to Personal Cheffing starting officially on June 22nd. I will be available for this service Monday through Wednesday with the potential of additional days (depending on my catering schedule).

💜✨ So what is personal chef service exactly? The answer isn’t black and white but in a nutshell, I will come into your home and essentially meal prep for you for the week. This can include all meals, left organized in your fridge and/or freezer with instructions on how to assemble and/or re-heat. Could also consist of cooking and serving dinner to you and your family or guests and then leaving breakfast and lunch for the next day. This can also include small dinner parties up to 15 guests.

💜✨ How do I charge for this service? It’s a bit different from catering. You pay my day rate plus the cost of food, I will give you the receipts. There will also be a one-time fee for containers to pack things in. We will discuss menus, dietary restrictions, food allergies, likes/dislikes and your meal expectations ahead of time. I will then create the menu, shop for ingredients and come to your kitchen to prepare. I will of course leave your kitchen as clean or cleaner than I found it.

💜✨ If this sounds like something you are interested in please DM me to set up a consultation. Know someone who might be interested? Feel free to tag them in the comments!

💜✨ To all of my standing catering clients, don’t worry, we are still doing events!!! 👨🏾‍🍳

✨ Thank you all so much for your orders this month! It’s always a pleasure getting to see and speak to each and every one of you!

💜 Some of you were asking so I just wanted to post a little info about the Cyclospora Outbreak. I do not believe that there have been any confirmed cases in California and the actual source is still unknown but this parasite can be found on fresh produce, especially items that have lots of folds and crevices like lettuce and also berries and fresh herbs. It may not completely get rid of it but always make sure to wash your produce thoroughly and buy whole heads of lettuce rather than the pre-chopped, remove the outer leaves and clean it thoroughly.

✨ It is also recommended to cook your produce (when possible). High heat can kill certain parasites.

💜 I clean and prep all ingredients myself and wash and inspect everything thoroughly. Most of the produce included in my freezer meals is cooked, aside from fresh herbs that are on top. I always buy organic and some herbs such as basil, mint and rosemary are grown in my own garden. AS ALWAYS, MY MEALS ARE MEANT TO BE EATEN HOT (UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED) SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE REHEATING YOUR MEALS PROPERLY . IF YOU NEED ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO REHEAT YOUR MEALS PLEASE CONTACT ME! SOME ITEMS , ESPECIALLY CHICKEN BREAST ARE PACKAGED SLIGHTLY UNDERCOOKED SO THAT WHEN YOU REHEAT IT, IT DOES NOT DRY OUT. SO, PLEASE REHEAT YOUR ITEMS PROPERLY (INTERNAL TEMP OF 165 DEGREES) BEFORE CONSUMING!

✨ Let’s hope that authorities find a source to this gnarly outbreak asap and that it does NOT make its way to CA!!! And guys, seriously, wash your hands! Warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds (happy birthday x2). It may not keep you from ingesting Cyclospora but it can prevent a lot of other things! Hand sanitizer DOES NOT kill Norovirus and nobody wants that so PLEASE wash your hands! Especially when you are in a public place and avoid touching your nose and mouth.

💜 Thank you for reading my PSA. Stay safe out there! Peace, Love and Food to you all! 🤗
