Completed my first Towerrun race ever at The Wilshire Grand yesterday supporting The American Lung Association for their Fight for Air Fundraising Campaign. It was definitely a huge challenge climbing 73 floors but somehow I made it to the top in 22 minutes 11 seconds which shocked me! Felt like my heart was going to explode at the 30th floor but the camaraderie of all the participants kept me going, we had racers from age 8 to 78 and even stroke survivors. The feeling of making it to the top of the building and crossing the finish line made all the effort worthwhile. Can’t wait for the next tower race! Thanks to the athlete that inspired us, none other than world champion Towerrunner Soh Wai Ching ( www.sohwaiching.com )

MASC CNY Horse Dinner was full of smiles, amazing moments and kampung spirit! Thank you to the hardworking Board of Directors especially Rebecca Loke, Michelle Kon and Melvin Khoo who worked tirelessly to prepare for this splendid event. We had some fantastic guests with us like Hollywood actress Claudia Wells from Back to The Future, Allyson Ee Miss International Malaysia, Tasha Mae, Malaysia’s volleyball National Athlete and The Kumaar Family!

It’s hard not to catch Uke Fever when your Uke artists friends come to town and remind you why this little instrument can spread so much joy, love and healing to the world. Jazz legend Bob Frazier, probably Louis Armstrong long lost twin treated us to What a Wonderful World, harmonica and trumpet to jazz up our nom nom NAMM jam! Thank you Bob for reminding us that one of the greatest joys in life is to wake up laughing with strangers.

Once a year my awesome NAMM uke buddies come to town and jam out at seasons kitchen! This year is extra special because the U3 band (Cynthia Lin, Ukulenny & Abe Lagrimas) hosted a mini concert and dinner for their fans. It was a night of beautiful music, amazing people and ukulele love in the air
