Yesterday, we celebrated the life of one of the original Ercolette’s, Jolene O’Hara, and what a life worthy of celebration it was! When Ms. Jolene walked into Erc’s, she brought this wonderful spirit that exuded fun, love and compassion. Whether you knew her all your life or just met her, she made you feel like you were an old friend, and it was a joy to be in her presence.

Jolene passed away in December, leaving behind two beautiful daughters, a stepson, two sons-in-law, 6 grandchildren and innumerable friends and admirers. They put on an incredible tribute to her yesterday that featured heartfelt remembrances, a stunning moment of reflection, a tequila toast, a bagpiper, a mariachi band… oh, and a flyover. Jolene would’ve loved it. You could feel her smile — a smile that was an undeniable light. She’ll be forever missed.

To get to Manhattan Avenue in Manhattan Beach, you have a few options for public transport and driving/parking:

Public Transport:
1. From downtown Los Angeles, take the Metro Expo Line towards Santa Monica and get off at the Downtown Santa Monica Station.
2. Walk to the corner of 4th Street and Broadway and take bus line 534 towards Malibu via Pacific Coast Highway.
3. Get off at the Manhattan Ave/15th St stop.
4. Walk along Manhattan Avenue until you reach your destination.

Driving/Parking:
1. If you're coming from downtown Los Angeles, take I-110 South towards San Pedro.
2. Merge onto CA-91 West and continue onto I-105 West.
3. Take exit 2 for Sepulveda Boulevard South toward LAX Airport.
4. Continue on Sepulveda Blvd until you reach Manhattan Beach Blvd.
5. Turn right onto Manhattan Beach Blvd and continue straight until you reach Manhattan Avenue.
6. Look for available street parking along Manhattan Avenue or nearby side streets.
