We are saddened to announce that Thomas Amalfitano, better known to his countless friends as "Tommy" and to many of you as "The Boss," passed away this week. For generations of customers, he was the heart and soul of the restaurant, a welcoming face seen any given day, a man of quick wit who always had a clap-back and suffered no fools, and a pillar of strength not just at the waterfront but in the greater San Pedro Community. He was an inspiration to all of us, pushing us to be better workers, better hosts, and better people outside of the walls of the Fish Market.
In honor of Tommy, we will be posting our favorite stories, pictures and videos of him on an ongoing basis. We welcome you to share yours, and hope you join us in celebrating his life.
