To Our Avenue 3 Family,

36 years ago, we opened our doors with a simple goal: to serve good food at an affordable price and create a place where people could come together and feel at home. Thanks to you, Avenue 3 Pizza & Subs became so much more than that.

Over the years, we've watched families grow, celebrated birthdays and team victories, welcomed generations of customers and staff, and shared countless memories with this incredible Long Beach community, including CSULB athletics/orchestra/educational programs/49er camp, Millikan High School and their special education program, Wilson High School athletics, Special Olympics, Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts, Pop Warner football, local soccer, baseball and softball programs and many more!

Many of you have been with us from the beginning, and others have become part of our story along the way. Thank you to our staff, loyal customers, family, and visitors from afar for the journey the past 36 years, cheers to all!

It is with sadness in our hearts that we share the news that one of our own has tragically succumbed to his injuries. We are asking that anyone who saw or heard anything on August 14 between the hours of 9:30 and 4:30 a.m. please phone Officer Oranza with LBPD at (562)570-5273. Any information will be greatly appreciated. The family thanks you! Also....fundraising efforts are still happening so stop by the Ave and drop a few bucks in the bucket for Jay or kindly donate to the family's Go Fund me page mentioned in the article! Though police have not confirmed the circumstances leading to his death, the case is being investigated by the department's homicide detail, police said in a press release Tuesday afternoon.
