The Pizza Hut BOOK IT! program is still going strong, and now kids can take part all summer long through the BOOK IT! Summer of Stories program. Parents can download the BOOK IT! app, set reading goals, track progress, and when those goals are reached, kids earn a free Personal Pan Pizza.

I still remember the excitement of getting that little certificate and knowing pizza night was officially happening. Some rewards just hit different when you’re a kid.

To get to the pizza place on Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Pacoima, you can take the 734 Metro Bus and get off at the Laurel Canyon/ Van Nuys Boulevard stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the restaurant.

If you're driving, take the 5 Freeway North and exit on Laurel Canyon Boulevard. Drive south for about two miles until you reach the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Van Nuys Boulevard. The restaurant is located on this corner with parking available in the lot or on the street.

To get to the chicken restaurant, you can take the same Metro Bus route and get off at Van Nuys/Laurel Plaza. Alternatively, if driving, continue down Laurel Canyon Boulevard towards San Fernando Road. Turn left onto San Fernando Road and continue for half a mile until you reach Glenoaks Boulevard. Turn left onto Glenoaks Boulevard and drive for another half-mile until you reach the chicken restaurant located on your right with parking available in their lot or street parking nearby.

For Pizza Hut which is also located along Laurel Canyon Blvd in Pacoima, you can follow similar driving instructions as above but instead of turning into San Fernando Road or Van Nuys Blvd intersections, continue straight ahead on Laurel Canyon Blvd until you come across Pizza Hut which will be located somewhere along that stretch of road with its own parking lot.
