🌴 Few restaurants are as beloved, respected and deeply rooted in LA’s food culture now as . What Alberto Bañuelos Lugo and his family have built is something truly special — iconic birria de res burritos, soulful recipes passed through generations and a restaurant that has earned the admiration of chefs, food media and Angelenos alike.
We were honestly just huge fans long before this collaboration ever existed. So to have the opportunity to work alongside Alberto and the Burritos La Palma team on the Birria XLB has been a real honor. Months of tastings, conversations, and R&D all led to this little dumpling packed with slow-braised birria de res and a whole lot of love for LA food culture.
Thank you to the entire Burritos La Palma family for trusting us, collaborating with us and inspiring us. We’re incredibly grateful for this partnership. ❤️

After polling the streets of LA (and months of R&D), we’re introducing Birria XLB — built around Burritos La Palma’s beloved slow-braised birria de res, rich with chiles and spices, reworked into our signature soup dumpling.
All the flavor of birria, wrapped into a single juicy bite. There’s no competing with Burritos La Palma’s legendary tortillas, but we hope our delicate dumpling skin comes a close second!

LA, you really came through with some wild responses for what our next collab soup dumpling should be and we’ve loved all the suggestions so far: Avocado Toast XLB? Donut XLB? Surf & Turf? Ramen? Cheeseburger? Carnitas? It’s not too late to drop your suggestions below! We’re getting close — stay tuned.
