This burger started in an old food truck in Saticoy… and the 805 turned it into a dream. 🍔
Throwback to when 805 local Mark Taylor pulled up to the original Happy Place food truck.
Back then it was simple.
One small truck.
One hot grill.
One big dream.
What kept us going was the people.
Locals pulling up after work.
Friends bringing friends.
The 805 showing love again and again.
Bite after bite, this community believed in us long before we ever had a restaurant.
Because of that support, that little truck grew into something we once only dreamed about. Today Happy Place has a home in beautiful Downtown Ventura and two food trucks proudly rolling across the 805 serving weddings, corporate lunches, festivals, and local events.
And through it all, one thing has never changed.
The burger.
Our smash burgers start with a premium blend of brisket, chuck, and sirloin. Pressed onto a hot grill until the edges caramelize and the flavor comes alive. Sweet caramelized onions melting into rich American cheese. Bread and butter pickles for the perfect bite. All stacked on a soft toasted brioche bun and finished with our house-made Happy Smash Sauce.
Messy.
Juicy.
Unforgettable.
More than a burger.
This is where our story started.
The 805 built this with us. Ventura helped turn a food truck into a dream, and we’re grateful every single day.
