In Valles Centrales, Oaxaca, we celebrate Dia de Los Mu***os with vibrant public parades called comparsas, families decorating graves with marigolds and ofrendas (altars) of beloved foods and photographs, vibrant marketplaces, sand art, and the creation of Pan de Mu**to, all set to the sounds of music and joyous communal storytelling and feasting. The city’s streets and storefronts are adorned with marigold arches, skulls, and flags, creating a festive atmosphere for honoring deceased loved ones and celebrating life.
Comparsas are smaller parades held in each neighborhood, celebrated for more than 100 years. They spend up to six months making costumes and then hold a contest to pick the best one. In that tradition, people open their doors and windows to invite guests to come celebrate a lost loved one over hot chocolate or coffee and mezcal in it. People travel from house to house this way, throughout the evening.
Join us October 31st from 9pm to close for a night of Dia de los Mu***os! Bring your best costume for a chance to win an exclusive mezcal bottle. Enjoy great food, drink specials, mezcalitos, and live music by DJ . Get tickets on Resy and in bio.

“We are people of the clouds”
The Zapotec people, also known as Binnizá or Ben Zaa, are referred to as “People of the Clouds” in reference to their mythological origins.
For the Zapotec, mezcal is more than just a drink; it is believed to heal the body and heart, and to unite souls in community.
After experiencing the true spirit of mezcal, we invite you to enjoy our delicious new breakfast menu.
“Somos gente de las nubes”
La expresión “Gente de las nubes” para referirse a los zapotecas, conocida como Binnizá o Ben Zaa, es su autodenominación, la cual alude a su origen mitológico.
Nosotros creemos al igual que nuestros antepasados en ese verdadero espíritu del Mezcal, sana el cuerpo, el corazón y une las almas en comunidad!
Despues de un buen mezcalito, disfruta de nuestro Nuevo menu de desayunos
