Hi Guys 👋
We have so many new faces on here and wanted to reintroduce ourselves and say hiiiii to our new friends!
We’re Reggie and Abby Cua, owners of Cafe Aficionado located in the city of Northridge in the San Fernando Valley.
We opened up our cafe over 8 years ago hoping to bring community to the CSUN students and the city! We loved and dreamed the idea of being a space where we can have people gather, hang out and find their home coffee shop! Our foundation of our mission is to be where coffee meets community. A place where you felt like you mattered, where people would remember your order and we’d know you by name the second time you walked through those doors!
We hope that you have felt loved and cared for by us, our family and our staff!
These last 8 years have such a blessing! Despite the Covid shurdown, some hardships from time to time and an occasional Yelp review 😂. We’ve met so many people along the way that have become part of our family and we’re grateful for all the years we’ve had to serve you all! To our customers old and new, thank you for being part of this journey and our lives!
To all our new followers and friends, we hope to have you at our shop soon and we look forward to meeting you and serving you!

Reggie is a veteran that served over 8 years in the Coast Guard!
We have two wonderful kids, who you’ll see occasionally at our shop!
Abby grew up in the San Fernando Valley for most of her life and attended Bishop Alemany High school!

Introducing Soulful Sundays at Cafe Aficionado!
Sari Sari Sunday Market will be our launch of Soulful Sundays at Cafe Aficionado LA ❤️
There’s nothing quite like a meal that reminds you of home.
Starting this Sunday, June 28, we’re launching Soulful Sundays — a weekly celebration of Filipino comfort food, family traditions, and the dishes that warm the soul. Every Sunday, we’ll be serving Filipino-inspired soul food that brings back memories of Sunday family gatherings, comforting aromas from the kitchen, and the flavors we grew up loving.
To kick things off, we’re featuring FOUR classic comfort dishes:
🍛 Picadillo Plate – $14
🍲 Sinigang Plate – $14
🥥 Laing Plate (Veggie) – $14
🥩 Beef Mechado Plate – $15
Each dish is served with all the love and comfort that Filipino cooking is known for.
And this is just the beginning! Moving forward, we’ll feature a rotating Filipino comfort food special every Saturday and Sunday, bringing you the soulful flavors that have nourished generations.

To get to Reseda Boulevard in Los Angeles via public transport, take the Orange Line Metro Bus and get off at the Reseda station. From there, walk for about 5 minutes towards the direction of traffic until you reach the coffee shop.
If driving, take the 101 Freeway and exit on Reseda Boulevard. Continue driving southbound on Reseda Boulevard for approximately 2 miles until you reach the destination. There is paid street parking available in front of the coffee shop and nearby streets.
