Are you ready to tuck in some Indian curries this weekend? It’s like a warm hug in a plate.

Curries are comforting and our South Indian Moilee packs quite a punch even though it looks a nice mellow yellow. A flavorful, smooth spiced coconut sauce lusciously coats either shrimp or our vegan option - jackfruit, topped with a curry leaf & chili tempering, dotted with tart cherry tomato and served up with a refreshing pineapple kachumber (salad) and hot steamed rice.

Do you know how Kheema went on to be one of India’s most popular meat-based street foods as also a breakfast staple?

While the word ‘Keema’ is believed to have been borrowed from the Turkish word ‘Kıyma’, which means minced meat. It was originally an Awadh cuisine breakfast dish from medieval India. It was born around the time royal families gave as much importance to the cooks of their palaces and their culinary prowess as they did of their administration.

While there are many interpretations (over time) of this dish, the kheema pav on our menu uses a similar style of cooking down the meat and spices, brining out flavors and textures which adapt to almost any style of bread and dotted with sweet peas and raisins to complete the flavor circle. Stuffed in a toasted, buttery Indian bread (pav) it’s a meal in itself.

Come try out our Kheema Pav today and many more dishes with a history behind it (we’d be happy to relate stories of a bygone era to you) at our open kitchen at |
