There's a bar on Ventura Blvd that Studio City regulars refuse to share.
No influencer walls. No bottle service. Just a dim, beautiful bar inside Shanghai Rose where the bartender already knows your order and the happy hour hits different.
2-for-1 on everything behind the bar — premium cocktails, beer, wine — Monday through Friday, 2 to 6.
The bar food menu? Seven items, $8.95 each. Jumbo onion rings. BBQ roast pork. Beer-battered broccoli that converts vegetable haters. Every plate is built to pair with your second drink.
This isn't the spot you find on a "Best Of" list.

Shanghai Rose in Studio City runs one of the most aggressive happy hours on Ventura Blvd — and most people still don't know about it.
Monday through Friday, 2 to 6PM, the bar pours doubles for the price of one. High-end cocktails. Craft beers. House wines. All of it.
And because you shouldn't drink on an empty stomach — the bar food menu runs at $8.95 a plate. Beer battered calamari. Orange chicken that puts the takeout spots to shame.
Walk in after work. Sit down. Order two rounds and a plate of food for less than your sad desk lunch cost.
