A note from founder Akasha:

Join me in Sardinia this May!

I began leading culinary and cultural small-group journeys more than nine years ago, with trips to India, Italy, Morocco, and Ireland. In many ways, these trips feel like an extension of what we created at AKASHA—bringing people together around food, culture, and meaningful experiences. I’m excited to bring that same spirit into a new chapter: Travel by Akasha - new website at link in bio. ✈️🚢

I’m proud to be affiliated with First in Service, a Virtuoso travel agency, which allows me to offer my clients special amenities, preferred rates, and insider access at many of the world’s finest hotels and cruise lines.

I’m designing journeys, booking cruises, and planning individual and small-group trips around the world—from the Galápagos and Morocco to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Croatia, and Japan.

One of my most personal journeys is Sardinia, where my daughter’s family is from. This May I’m leading a small group there, and it would be such a joy to share this incredible island with some of you.

If you’ve been thinking about a special trip, I would love to help you plan it—or have you join us in Sardinia-we have a couple spots left. All info at link in bio or at www.travelbyakasha.com 🧳

A note from Akasha:
Dear AKASHA community:

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to places where food, culture, and daily life are deeply intertwined.

In 2008, I opened AKASHA in Culver City with a simple belief: that food made with care, integrity, and respect for the land has the power to bring people together. For nearly two decades, AKASHA became a gathering place—rooted in seasonal cooking, close relationships with farmers and producers, and a sense of hospitality that felt both nourishing and personal. Leading AKASHA through 2026 has been one of the great privileges of my life.

At the same time, travel has always been my other classroom. I have spent years cooking, learning, and listening around the world—sharing meals with farmers, shepherds, home cooks, and artisans who carry generations of knowledge. Visiting other cultures enriched not only my cooking, but my world view, of hospitality, rhythm, and connection.

Over time, something has become clear: the moments that moved me most—around tables, in markets, in kitchens—were the same moments friends, guests, and longtime AKASHA supporters always asked me about. Where should I go? Who should I meet? How do I experience a place more deeply?

That is why I’m so excited to share with you Travel by Akasha, my new adventure as a travel advisor. Rooted in everything I’ve spent a lifetime cultivating—thoughtful hospitality, deep cultural connection, and a love of food as a gateway to understanding people and places along with my restaurant and travel experience and the curiosity and conversations with you led me here.

Through intimate journeys and detailed travel planning, for individuals and groups, I’ll be curating experiences that go beyond the expected, guided by relationships built over decades of travel.

Thank you for being part of my story—past, present, and what comes next. I so look forward to sharing the road ahead with you. Please see the link below for details on my first small-group journey to Sardinia, taking place in May 2026.

With gratitude,

Akasha
