CALIFORNIA HALIBUT! Cali Hali are caught year round off the coast of SB but the summer sees a big up tick. These fish range from Nor Cal into Mexico. Make sure you buy CA halibut caught in CA not imported from the south! One of the best eating fish on the coast for anyone that wants something mild and light! Remember buy only US seafood and try to buy CA if you can! Stop by our shop or our farmers market booths and grab some and support local fisherman, fishing heritage, and sustainably🎣

Most seafood you eat at any restaurant or buy in any market in CA is imported (around 90% in the US). Bad for the planet, bad for your health if farmed, and doesn’t support local fishing family’s. Unbeknownst to most is the US and CA in particular have the MOST regulated fisheries in the world. You don’t have to buy from us but buy local. We are a fishing family with 3 boats and we put our lives on the line to feed your family. Here is my son Kai at 9 years old on his first commercial sea bass trip. We don’t sell ANYTHING that isn’t domestic and not west coast. Support those like us and keep the money in the local economy, support sustainability at the same time, and our local fishing heritage. This week our family caught and is bringing to market local…Vermilion, assorted rock cod, lingcod, sole, ocean white fish, White Sea bass, halibut, and Mackerel!

This is FV Nancy Lee…named after my mom. She raised four kids and cleaned houses while I was growing up to help make extra money to support our family. I want to wish a very special Mother’s Day to all mothers. Especially those that are married to, related to, date, and even are friends with commercial fisherman. They often have their fisherman out at sea and it can add on extra stress worrying about them and taking care of things while they are out!🏆 Love you Nancy Lee and I hope your day is grand! 💐

LOBSTER SEASON 2024-2025! Sorry this has taken so long but we wanted to reach out and thank our customers. Thanks to you and our restaurants we work with we were able to sell about 90% of our Spiny Lobsters to domestic markets. People don’t realize it but most of our lobster is shipped over seas (80 to 90%). B/c our local public doesn’t demand it our local fleet is stuck under the thumb of this system. Out of the hundreds of restaurants in our area only a handful even offer it! I saw a lot of fisherman I consider good friends receive lower prices than they should get and you can make a change! Start demanding local lobster and asking for only local seafood on your menus! We need to stop exporting our beautiful seafood for subpar foreign products. (Read American Catch) 🇺🇸

Seasons greetings! We are half way through the spiny lobster season and have had a great start! We are thankful for everyone that chooses to buy local seafood and support local fisherman. Most seafood sold in SB and across CA/US is imported (as much as 80-90%). This is a broken system and we are the answer! Buy local seafood from local fisherman and be part of the solution not the problem. Seasons greetings from our hard working family and employees to yours!
P.S. WE WILL HAVE LIVE LOBSTERS FOR SALE IN SB AND VTA HARBOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY AM DM OR TEXT FOR ORDERS

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL THE DADS OUT THERE! Especially to Paul Hyman that taught me and my siblings the selflessness it takes to provide for the family. To all of you dads especially fishing dads putting it all on the line (pun intended) have a great day!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE…ESPECIALLY MY MOM NANCY LEE!!!💐
She raised me and 3 other children. We changed the name of the boat officially at the start of the year but I waited to post this on Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom out there especially fisherman’s moms who have to worry a little bit more for there kids to make it home safe!🫶🎣

Lobsters season 2023-2024 comes to an end! Thanks to all that supported us in our quest. We sell only domestic local seafood. It doesn’t have to be from us but always buy wild US caught seafood. Don’t believe the hype on the necessity to use farmed imported seafood. Around 90 percent of the seafood in the US is imported and were it’s caught, how it’s caught/farmed is always sub par to our scientifically managed fisheries. BUY WILD AND LOCAL!

Happy Bday to Crewman Clay Jacobs. He spent his bday fishing with me in the wind and had a big smile all day. Make sure you buy only US seafood and try to buy as local as possible to support guys like Clay and are local fishing communities.

THIS IS NATE LILE. He was my crewman for almost 3 years and friend many more. He had a really big heart, was funny, generous, and we shared thousands of hours together. He was happiest when at sea! Tragically he is no longer with us. I’ll be posing pics of him everyday❤️🎣
