What do you do when the top tier of your four-tier wedding cake was accidentally served instead of saved?? 😮 You order a mini cake to celebrate your first anniversary, of course! Luckily this one was decorated in the calm of my kitchen instead of a rained-out venue with hundreds of guests looking on as I pipe 😂 Happy 1st Anniversary R + S! 💕🎉

Let’s do a little lesson here— fresh flower edition! When adding fresh florals, my preference is always to add to your existing floral order (whether it’s a wedding, birthday, or other occasion where flowers will be present in the room) so that everything matches in color and variety. When that’s not an option, it’s something I’ll need to source. The more variety or color, the higher the price tag. Just to buy the flowers for this cake (garden roses x 2 types, spray roses, tulips, ranunculus, lisianthus, orchids) was over $80. 😳 (oh, and that acrylic cake board? $30) Just waiting for the next one! 💕🍰🌹

Taking a look back at this 14” olive oil lemon cake from a gorgeous October 2025 wedding reception with and his team. Mascarpone frosting and fresh Black Mission figs from .g.berries (almost a full flat!) are all it needed for an unforgettable end to a delicious meal! 🍰

It’s pouring rain in SoCal (😍) so here’s a batch of triple-lemon cupcakes for a bright spot in your day— lemon cake, lemon buttercream, and hand painted lemon toppers. Because when this (*gestures around*) feels like a dumpster-fire, you need to make something sweet with the lemons you’re given. Happy Birthday, Cadyn! 🍋🧁🥳

This 5-tier beauty featured three distinct flavors: lemon cake with cream cheese frosting and lemon buttercream, vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh berries, and chocolate cake with Nutella buttercream and dark chocolate ganache. A sweet finish to a beautiful night! 💕🌹🌺✨🍰
