Going out with a bang!

We may be closing, but we've still got some tricks up our sleeves including one final release: Barrel-Aged Finnegan's Wake!

The St. Paddy's baddy makes a return after a year on the staves, and this is one sequel that might just upstage the original. In case you missed it, last St. Patrick's Day we released a 9% Irish Cream Breakfast Stout brewed with coffee, Ecuadorian cocoa nibs, Ugandan vanilla beans, and a touch of almond. We then let it sit for a year in whiskey barrels, and it was intended to be released this St. Paddy's, but we pushed up its release for obvious reasons.

BA Finnegan's Wake will be on tap starting this evening and will be in cans later this week.

The outpouring of support from the community has been truly incredible. It's sad to say goodbye to so many of you, but we're grateful that you're helping us end things on such a high note. This beer represents our final expression of liquid creativity, and we'd be honored if you'd come share it with us.

My Dear Thread Heads,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that after 6 hard fought years, Five Threads Brewery is closing permanently. Unfortunately we have not been able to scale up our sales fast enough to cover rising expenses and we find ourselves at the end of our funds. We will be open the rest of this week as usual and Sunday, January 30th will be our final day open.

It has been a great journey and I am so happy to have had the chance to meet and share good times and great beer with you. Thank you for all of the support you have provided through the years.

We have been working hard to can up as much of our product as possible so you can stock up on your favorites one last time.

I would be honored to meet you in the tap room to share a pint and reminisce over the coming week and will be present as much as I can to do so.

My plan after closing is to return to the world of biotech and cancer research at least for now. You’ll be the first to know if I or my recipes make a return to the craft beer market in the future.

Thank you once again for the great memories.

You certainly can take advantage of ours today from 3:30 - 11pm and Happy Hour all day long. That includes $5 glasses of Serenity and $2 off all appetizers. Happy Tuesday! (That's a thing, right?) Well, we're happy at least because we've got a new beer on Happy Hour special this week!

Serenity, our classic Belgian Golden Strong Ale, recently reentered the taplist, and if you haven't had a chance to try it yet, now's the perfect time. All week during Happy Hour (all day Tues - Thurs, 3:30 - 5:30 Fri - Sun) you can get a glass of this peaceful potable for just $5. You can also grab appetizers for $2 off because our Bites & Brews truck is back in action!

We've got the usual Karaoke Wednesday, Trivia Thursday, and general revelry the rest of the week. Can't wait to see you!

To get to Via Colinas in Westlake Village using public transport, you can take the Metro Bus Line 161 to Thousand Oaks Transit Center and transfer to the Conejo Valley Cycles bus which stops near Via Colinas. Alternatively, you can take the Metrolink train to Moorpark Station and then catch a taxi or rideshare service to Via Colinas.

If you prefer driving, take the US-101 N freeway and exit at Lindero Canyon Road. Turn left onto Lindero Canyon Road, then turn right onto Agoura Road. Continue straight until you reach Via Colinas where you can find parking available along the street or in nearby parking lots.
