Beard Papa's

Beard Papa's is a renowned dessert and Japanese restaurant that has been delighting customers with its exceptional cream puffs since 1999. The establishment traces its origins to a small bakery in Osaka, where the beloved head baker, affectionately known as Beard Papa due to his fluffy white beard, captured the hearts of locals with his delightful sweets. Driven by a passion for baking and a desire to create joy among the townspeople, Beard Papa responded to the excitement of children eager for new treats by developing an original recipe for cream puffs that would embody the same fluffiness and charm as his signature beard. His dedication and creativity led to the perfecting of a double-layered puff pastry, combining choux on the inside with pie crust on the outside.

What people say

Beard Papa's at 333 S Alameda St in Los Angeles is a delightful destination for dessert lovers. Since its inception in 1999, this charming establishment has been dedicated to crafting the world’s best cream puffs, drawing inspiration from a beloved bakery in Osaka, Japan.

The story of Beard Papa is as heartwarming as the treats themselves.
