That thief who stole wine bottles from our Yorba Linda store attempted to steal from Orange today! Thanks to the alertness of our employee, he left without any bottles this time. Please help the Yorba Linda police catch him as he’s still on the prowl. He’s stolen over $1K so it’s a crime. We need to vote to change this law so thefts under $1K can be prosecuted as well. Businesses are suffering because of this.

Yesterday around 6pm, this individual STOLE not once but TWICE in a span of 5 minutes from our Yorba Linda store. He stuffed a few wine bottles in his pants while his female companion acted as a decoy. They left together in a small black Cadillac. The man is about 6ft, 200 lbs and the lady about 5ft 120 lbs. He wore a striped Polo shirt, navy cap with “D” and white shoes with black New Balance logo. She had large tattoos on her right arm with cursive “Very Girly” or something similar. She wore sandals, a tight burgundy dress, and a large bag.
Please WATCH OUT for them!😡

My hero, Miljenko “Mike” Grgich died this week at age 100. I’m so thankful I got to meet him earlier this year. He was the epitome of the American Dream and left an amazing legacy for the world. An immigrant like myself, he fled war torn Croatia (Yugoslavia at the time) with $32 sewn into the sole of his shoe, his trusty beret, a cardboard suitcase of wine books, and his dream of entering a paradise named California. (Those items are on display in the Smithsonian.) Mike applied to enter Canada as a lumberjack (he’s tiny!), then worked as a dishwasher. He carved his way to Napa Valley by placing an ad to work at half the normal wages. He took a greyhound bus and arrived in paradise in 1958 with his paper suitcase of wine books.
There Mike started working with Andre Tchelistcheff and Robert Mondavi. In 1973, while working for Chateau Montelena, he made the Chardonnay that beat the French in the 1976 Judgement of Paris. He became a legend and put Napa Valley on the map. Before then, Napa was only known for their jug wines like Gallo.
The next year, he achieved his lifelong dream of opening his own winery with Austin Hills. Today they own 366 acres of Napa Valley and Mike’s known as the “King of Chardonnay” along with countless accolades including Vintners Hall of Fame. Most of all, he proved to everyone that California wines are indeed the best in the world.🍷
He has touched countless of lives including mine as a man of joy, creativity, passion, perseverance, and gratitude. He will continue to inspire me to “Everyday do my best, learn something new, and make a new friend.” Farewell my hero!

We went wine tasting in the Beaujolais Wine Region.🍷This lesser-known region is home to fresh, fruit-driven red wines made mostly from Gamay🍇. Their wines are more approachable and affordable than neighboring Burgundy’s Pinot Noir. Our knowledgeable Viking tour guide took us on a tour of a sixth generation family winery with an interesting history. They gained that Chateau in the 1800s when their rich ancestor lent money to a friend to feed his gambling habit. As a payment, he was gifted Chateau de Nervers and the surrounding 125 acre land.

Thank you Senator Josh Newman for honoring us as Business of the Month for our district! We would like to recognize our amazing team in Yorba Linda for their dedication and excellent customer service.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟They have been working extra hard since we’re short-staffed. Without them, we would have bit the dust like so many others.

This Saturday (9/25), we're honored to have Master Sommelier Michael Jordan back to take us on a virtual tour of Germany! We will be visiting the Mosel region and tasting three different styles of Rieslings that range in different levels of sweetness.
Rieslings are known for their versatility, especially with Thai, Indian and Chinese food as well as Sushi. Due to their minerality and acidity, they also pair well with cheeses.
Michael Jordan holds a Master Sommelier diploma as well as a Certified Wine Educator diploma from the Society of Wine Educators and is one of only 15 people in the world to hold both. Who better than him to "edutain" us about German Wines!

We will be offering a set of 3 full bottles for $100. Wine Club members $90. (Discount adjusted after checkout). Optional Cheese Pairing $30.
