Ugly Drum IS BACK! We are extremely excited to be able to relaunch Ugly Drum for shipping just in time for the Holidays! The pastrami will be available for mail order in limited quantities via Goldbelly (https://www.goldbelly.com/ugly-drum) and at Cofax coffee shop in their breakfast burritos. I made the difficult choice to close down during the pandemic but after nearly a year off I have decided to team up with old friends to bring the world's best pastrami back. Make sure to get your Hannukah & Holiday orders in early before we sell out! Stay tuned for more exciting Ugly Drum news to come in 2023 and make sure to follow us on instagram!

What people say
Ugly Drum, located on S. Alameda Street in Los Angeles, is a food stall that has gained a cult following for its unique take on pastrami. Created by Erik Black as a personal passion project, Ugly Drum's pastrami is made using a hybridized technique that combines classic Jewish pastrami brine with Texas-style pit-smoking. The result? Whole USDA Prime grade briskets that are brined for several days and then pit-smoked over low, indirect heat with whole logs of oak and pecan wood for at least 10 hours.
Previously only available out of Erik's oil drum smoker (the "Ugly Drum") at Smorgasburg LA, this Texas pastrami is now just a click away and can be enjoyed as a whole smoked pastrami brisket or as part of a reuben sandwich kit complete with rye bread, creamy coleslaw, Russian dressing, and Swiss cheese.
Ugly Drum's dedication to quality and passion for their craft has not gone unnoticed. In fact, they were named LA Mag Best of LA: Pastrami Sandwich. And it's no surprise why - the flavors in each bite are simply outstanding.
While Ugly Drum may be a food stand specializing in lunch takeout services only, their pastrami is truly something special that should not be missed. If you're looking for an unforgettable meal that will leave your taste buds singing praises, look no further than Ugly Drum on S. Alameda Street in Los Angeles.
