I’ve been trying to write this post , but I just haven’t been able to find the words . But the time has come to announce Romanos Canyon Crest’s last date of service will be Sunday June 4th!
Marisa’s Italian Deli will be Sunday June 11th !
It’s been a very long few months . A lot of tears and frustration aind anger . But as I write this , I can’t help but reflect on 24 years in CCTC and feel blessed and so thankful that Mark Thompson took a chance on a 27 year old kid in 1999 !
He truly set me on my journey and sparked a love affair with my community that still burns as hot as it ever did !
I wanted to stay and I tried to stay , but the new management has a “strategic plan” that doesn’t include us and many others ! If this is best for the Thompson family then it is the right thing . No matter what has transpired these last few months , I will not falter in my love and respect for the Thompson family ! I truly loved Mark and he was a huge influence on my life ! I loved Scott Thompson like a lil bro and his passing was profoundly painful and I still don’t understand why he’s gone ,I miss them both every day . Truth be told , I still look for them walking around the center , inspecting every lil detail and greeting everyone with a smile .
Marks father Jerry Thompson was a wonderful man too and I always enjoyed seeing and talking to him ! They’re all gone and so for me , the center will never be the same . I hope it continues to thrive for the Thompsons and all my friends and neighbors in the center !
24 years is a long time ! I want to be remembered for 24 years of passion for that center and the community it sits in !
I want to celebrate these next couple weeks ! See people and tell stories and reminisce and smile and laugh !
I truly believe God has a plan for me and the Romano’s and Marisa’s families !!
I’ll be at Romanos CC and Marisa’s as much as I can so I hope to see you and you greet me with a hug and a smile ♥️
Now I need to put cucumbers on my eyes 🥺
I’ll be posting more n asking for your help with pics and stories to create a memory video !!!

and June 4th is Paul Olives (One Man Band) .

We could never have accomplished so much without you ♥️
the first real profound impact on my life from opening day was how the relationships with my staff would enrich my life ! 22 years later I’m still so blessed to have so many past staff still in my life and lucky to have so many currently working hard to navigate the strange times we live in!!

To reach the pizza place and Italian restaurant located on Canyon Crest Drive in Riverside, you can take the Metrolink train to the Moreno Valley/March Field Station and then transfer to the Riverside Transit Agency bus route 16. Get off at Canyon Crest Drive and walk a few blocks north to reach the restaurant.
If you are driving, you can take the 215 freeway exit on central Riverside and then head east on Central Ave towards Old Town. Turn left onto Canyon Crest Dr and continue driving along for several blocks until you see the restaurant on your right. There is limited street parking available nearby, but there is also a public parking lot across from the restaurant.
