I am devastated by Christine’s sudden and unexpected passing. There are thousands of us who were nourished, not just by her food, but by her reflected glow.
We grew up and out from the same Campanile/Nancy Silverton roots around the same time. She encouraged me when I started Clementine, and when she started Little Flower Candy Co., I was thrilled to be one of the first to sell her caramels and marshmallows. They were - and are - sweet and beautiful and delicious.
To say that Christine was sweet, would, while true, trivialize the force that she was. Christine was beautiful and delicious in a powerful, l***y way - and you couldn’t get enough of her. We didn’t get enough of her.
Please take a caramel to celebrate and honor Christine. Better yet, take a couple and enjoy with a friend - and be sure to them how much they mean to you.
I love you Christine, and I am grateful for the joy you spread in this world.

“...Though it really just confirmed what I already felt, The Wall Street Journal's [] recent series revealing that Facebook has repeatedly ignored its own internal research about some of these negative effects really gave me pause.

Facebook is choosing to ignore their own findings - but I don’t feel comfortable ignoring them. Valuing and caring for our community, being authentic & true - these are foundational principles for me and for Clementine.

So, we’re taking a break.

Maybe we’ll try something else, or maybe the FOMO will prove to be too great. In any case, I hope there will be more questioning, followed by transparency and accountability, followed by some practical changes to these platforms that will help them live up to their amazing potential for good, with less actual harm.

If enough people insist upon it, there’s no reason we can’t have our cake and eat it too, without having to sacrifice privacy, freedom of speech, personal safety, connection, kindness, or kids’ mental health.

It's and everyone wants to get in on the celebration, including 's pup, seen here coveting her cherry Clementaschen. Start your day with our Wholegrain Muffin with Plump Dried Cherries and end with our Black Forest Bundt Cake. Life is never the pits when there are dollops of cherry compote and whipped cream!

The café and caterer is located on Ensley Avenue in Los Angeles. If traveling by public transport, the nearest bus stop is located at the intersection of Ensley Avenue and Adams Boulevard. From there, it's a short walk to the café.
If driving, take the I-10 freeway and exit at Crenshaw Boulevard. Turn left onto Crenshaw Boulevard and continue until you reach Adams Boulevard. Turn right onto Adams Boulevard and continue for a few blocks until you reach Ensley Avenue. The café is located on your right-hand side.
There is limited street parking available in front of the café, but additional parking can be found on neighboring streets. Be sure to check posted parking signs for any restrictions or time limits.
