To our friends, family, & neighbors:
After 8 years as Gabi James and nearly 3 decades in the Riviera Village in Redondo Beach as a family, we have made the difficult decision that Thursday, April 23rd, will be our last night of service. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you, and to our incredible team, we are especially grateful to you: your heart and passion are at the core of Gabi James. You are each a piece of the patchwork of what has made these last 8 years an absolute dream come true for us.
Owning and running a restaurant under any circumstances is intensely challenging. From thin margins to changing social and political landscapes, economic instability to a reduction in tourism, we have not been immune.
We encourage you to continue supporting local and to patronize independently owned restaurants. The legacy our father passed down to us will continue up the road at Love & Salt, our family’s other restaurant, and you’ll continue to find us around the Beach Cities as South Bay natives.
While the end is bittersweet, we would love to spend the next few weeks celebrating . . . sharing memories, tapas, and, of course, a few G&Ts with you all.
With absolute love & gratitude,
–Sara & Adam

Today we’re also celebrating the amazing women who make this place what it is, in the kitchen, behind the bar, on the floor, and behind the scenes. And of course, every woman in our community who inspires us every day. 💫❤️
