dearest found coffee community,
two recent snippets:
1. this past saturday, i met the owner of OPTIMIST after many years of carrying their non-alcoholic products on our shelves! thank you, tom, for reminding me that vendor partnerships are one of my most favorite parts of the job 💕
2. on that same day, we hosted Coffee + Connections — the first meeting of its kind, intentionally gathering creatives, entrepreneurs, + just really cool people from across socal. thank you to all who came after hours at our litto shop! i hope you were able to connect with someone new and/or old and/or amazing.
continue onwards + upwards, my loves!
in community,
annie

dearest found coffee community,
today i will enumerate my thoughts in this love letter, just for ease of thought + organization:
1. our dear regular b (a fellow bosslady in the community) graciously told me that i, annie choi, am the reason why the found coffee community actually exists. fostering + building this community has been one of the greatest honors and their verbal affirmation this morning fueled my sometimes worn-out soul. thank you, b ♥️
2. in the veins of worn-outness, i am here to remind my fellow hoomans that taking breaks: a) is a-okay, b) is necessary, c) doesn’t need to be justified. especially in these weird times.
3. in the veins of community: remember that Coffee + Connections is happening this sat 6/13 after hours at the shop!! remember to snag your eventbrite ticket (link in bio)
4. i’m trying to agenda / set the itinerary for Q4 already. what do you want to see for our calendar? what kind of events do you think would be fun for the community? comment below + pls be kind and/or mindful ⤵️
love you community. i will continue to say it diligently, without walls nor shame.
hugs hugs hugs,
annie

dearest found coffee community,
this is taken verbatim from my personal social media account, and i think it’s apropos here:
“in a recent convo with a gf, she commented that she admires how deeply i feel and how i actually externalize my feels. i unabashedly let people know that i love them, and i really hope they don’t mind that they’re snuggled up in my heart pocket. and if they DO mind, too bad. i will love you hard anyway. my gf said she’s someone who hides some (most?) of her own feels away, and i can so relate with her with some of my own childhood experiences + even adult ones.
hoomanity is unfailingly getting weirder and harsher since six years ago. i can’t wrap my head around it at times, and thus i have to pluck myself out of the shop to place space btwn the peoples + me. this enforced boundary helps my overall health.
nevertheless, i tell many of my customers that i love them. it’s not said flippantly, i assure you. i just can’t help it…i just can’t help it.”
i love you, community 🥹♥️
happy friday, beautiful community!

dearest found coffee community,
foto: our cutie team for staff appreciation night at an game 🤩🤩
this month passed extraordinarily quickly — or was it just me? we at the shop are gearing up for several june gatherings during biz hours AND after hours. did you know that you can reserve one of our long communal tables for your friends / alum meetups / mom groups / networking events? we have standing on thursday mornings (we love you ) 🩷
all we ask is for at least 72hr advance notice to reserve + that everyone in the group purchases something.
i am grateful that our litto shop has become a tried + true + faithful community hub. we are not who we are without you.
love you community, and don’t email me the night before your event please!
xx,
annie

dearest found coffee community,
i think we’re in the middle of small business week? did it pass? everyday is small biz appreciation day, and i can’t tell the passing of time anymore.
at my party, zach commented that it was basically all of found in another venue — i felt so loved and seen. thank you for the love, the love, the love 💛
was talking to joey of this AM, and we were both talking about the…tribulations? of running a small biz. if you don’t know any small biz owners in your life, please take it from us: owning + operating a small biz is not for the faint of heart 🫠
so in this month of celebrating small businesses everywhere: i see you ☺️ your efforts don’t go unnoticed!
with much gratitude,
annie
