The call said “How is a small mom and pop shop winning over other giants???”
“That’s because of our staff and customers.”
Because our staff informed you of the high service fees we face, so many of you chose to order through our website instead of delivery apps.
Aunty Maile’s is now the #1 producing restaurant on Grubhub in all of California and #1 in direct online orders through our website. 😳😳😳😳😳
The key to this is that you ordered through our own website to use their on-line service, and we are so grateful.
The direct online ordering recognition is especially meaningful to us because it came directly from your decision to support us through AuntyMailes808.com.
Every time you order in person, over the phone, or through our website, we win.
That support allows us to invest back into our team, ingredients, equipment, and the experience we provide our guests every day.
We’re incredibly grateful for your loyalty and support.
Mahalo plenty. 🌺🤙🏼

🌺 Summer Break Announcement 🌺
Each year, we close all three of our restaurants for a short summer break.
A lot of people ask why we’d close during one of the busiest times of the year. From a business perspective, it may not make much sense. But we’ve learned that success isn’t just about staying open every possible day, it’s also about making time for the people who help make our restaurants what they are. 🌺
At Aunty Maile’s Hawaiian Restaurant, Aloha Platez & Shave Ice Co., and Island Rootz Cafe, we’re grateful for our team. They work hard, show up for one another, and help us serve our communities every day.
This break is simply a chance for everyone to slow down a little. Whether that means spending time with family and friends, taking a trip, catching up on life, or just getting some much needed rest.
We believe balance matters. Taking time to recharge isn’t a luxury, it’s important.
Thank you for supporting not only our restaurants, but also the people behind them. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready to go.
Mahalo plenty! 🤙🏼🌺

The past few months have been a whirlwind between all three locations, and we’re incredibly grateful for the people who help make it happen every day.
This Saturday, we’re taking a little time to celebrate, laugh, and enjoy a night out together at Tumua’s “Das’ How” Tour at the Brea Improv. We work hard, but we also believe it’s important to make time for good company, good laughs, and a little balance along the way.

We’re incredibly grateful to the companies, schools, sports teams, and even movie productions that trust us to feed their crews and guests for their special events.
This morning’s mission: 180 plates ready for a 9:20 AM pickup order, scheduled through our website.
What separates us from many others isn’t just the food…it’s our crew. These guys have earned the title of beasts because they truly are. They show up early, work hard, move fast, and somehow keep the quality where it needs to be. 🔥🔥🔥
Aunty Maile’s kitchen is not for the weak. 💪🏽
To our team, mahalo for continuing to make the impossible look easy. And to everyone who chooses us for your events, thank you for your trust and support. ❤️

Been following and enjoying for years. 🤙🏼
Recently had a quick exchange with Ryan on IG, and next thing we know, Ryan and the ʻohana came by to support our humble little kitchen at 🥹
I happened to be at when they came to support us, so I missed the chance to meet them in person, but I’m incredibly grateful nonetheless. Why do I always miss these celebrity sightings??? 😭
As soon as we get a little breather, we’ll make time to support them on the mainland too! Until then, the 6am–2am days continue. 🤪
Mahalo plenty, Ryan and ʻohana. We truly appreciate the support. 🌺🙏🏼

🌺 Today was probably the softest soft opening anyone has ever done.
We didn’t announce it, but somehow the support still showed up. Familiar faces stopped by to grab a drink, try a musubi, peek inside, and wish us well. We are incredibly grateful. 🥹

We’re sharing a few photos from today. We missed many of you because some were camera shy and we also were busy learning, setting up, and figuring things out. 😅
If you don’t see some of us or as much , we’re most likely at this new location getting it running. 🤙🏽
This is just the beginning. Mahalo nui for supporting us as we take our first steps. 🌺

A couple photos of some of our most loyal supporters. 🥹🌺
Our supporters make all of this possible, and we never want to take that for granted.
Most days I’m running between restaurants, cooking, baking, training, and putting out fires, so we rarely get a chance to stop, take photos, or chat as long as I’d like.
But please know this: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.
Mahalo for choosing our small businesses, cheering us on, and being part of our journey. We wouldn’t be here without you. ❤️
