This week reminded us that community is everything. 🩷
This wasn’t just me. This was ALL of us.
Every person that bought a cake slice, donated extra money, shared our posts, prayed, or sent support… thank you.
Because of all of you, we were able to donate to 4 families affected by this unimaginable tragedy.
In the middle of so much heartbreak, it’s a beautiful feeling to witness people truly show up for one another. This is what community looks like.

Day 1 of our fundraiser begins today.
Today’s flavor: Pistachio Cake Slices
$10 per slice and 100% of today’s pistachio slice sales will be donated to the victims of last week’s tragic fire in Montebello that claimed the lives of Rossy and her son, Atiel.
We will also be donating to the two other families who lost their homes in the fire.
Today would have been Atiel’s 14th birthday. 🕊️
Tonight, we will be releasing balloons before the rosary in his honor.

Montebello, this is one of those moments where community means everything.
These families lost so much more than belongings. They lost their homes, their peace, their sense of security, and in one heartbreaking case, loved ones who can never be replaced. We know there is nothing anyone can say or do to take away that kind of pain, but we hope that together we can help ease at least a small part of the burden these families are carrying right now.
As a small business that has been part of Montebello for decades, we truly believe this is the moment to come together and show up for our own people. We know times are hard for many families and even for small businesses, but if there was ever a time to lead with compassion and community, it’s now.
To our fellow business owners, neighbors, friends, and everyone in our community, if you are able to support in any way, whether it’s donating, sharing this post, or simply keeping these families in your prayers, we know it will mean more than words can explain.

April’s Cakes is OK. 🤍
This morning’s devastating fire happened behind our bakery, and while our business and surrounding businesses were not affected physically, our hearts are heavy for the families and residents impacted by this tragedy.
Please continue to keep everyone affected in your prayers. We are incredibly grateful for the calls, messages, and concern from our community today. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
