Combo A, formerly known as Chinatown Express, is a Chinese and fast food restaurant located on Echo Park Avenue. The restaurant offers a new look while still serving the same great food as before. Combo A offers homemade Mama's CA Chili Oil that adds a kick to any dish. It also offers its famous fried chicken and is closed on Sundays. Celebrate Lunar New Year or enjoy some food before heading to the game at Combo A.

Dear Echo Park,

This is a love letter to those who once knew Sunset and Echo Park as Pioneer Market.

When and dreamt up a passion project to honor our deeply rooted cultures, lived stories, and shared legacies, .a_eyes had to be the one to tell the story, all of our stories.

Together as a community, amplifying both family owned small businesses was beyond just us. it’s a celebration of our people, our food, our neighborhood, our city.

Echo Park might be a trendy hotspot, but it was once (and still is) a place of diversity, cultures, and small businesses who carry the essence of differences, resilience, and perseverance.

And if you know Sunset and Echo Park as Walgreens, this one is also for you because legacies are built through our past, present, and future. Those before us were the foundation of our roots while we carry on our stories for the ones after us to continue. This one’s for you, Echo Park.

As an homage to our community, we will be releasing limited edition shirts to honor our shared history ($30.00 from sizes S – 2XL) and the CA Rodeo Burrito available at Combo A this Friday 5/22 only ($15.00 from 4pm until supplies last).

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local organizations whose values align with preserving our neighborhoods.

When my parents escaped the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia, the American dream was their only beacon of hope.

As a child raised by immigrants on a foundation built upon community values, Combo A is in deep despair from the current terrorization of our people.

Today, tomorrow, and everyday after that, we stand in solidarity for the rights to human dignity, safety, freedom, and that very same beacon of hope for everyone.

We’re not going to front, as a small family-owned business, we cannot afford to close during this nationwide shutdown. Don’t get it twisted as lack of solidarity because today, it’s not business as usual, but we’re trying to show up for our community the best way we know how, just as we always have for the last 20+ years.

Since the only ice we like is in our bobas, 100% of today’s profits from our bobas will be donated to in support of immigrant rights.

Let us be clear:
ICE out of EP. ICE out of LA. ICE OUT.

To get to Echo Park Avenue in Los Angeles via public transport, take the Metro Red or Purple Line to Union Station and transfer to the Metro Bus 2 towards Downtown LA. Get off at Echo Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. Walk south on Echo Park Avenue for about two blocks.

If driving, take the 101 Freeway and exit at Alvarado Street. Turn left onto Glendale Boulevard and continue onto Echo Park Avenue. There is street parking available in the area, but it can be limited during peak hours.
