If you didn't already know, the bearded gentleman in these two photographs is none other than Marvin Paul Warman, the creator of "The Messy Marv" on our menu.

The first slide shows him here at Chili John's (with director David Winning on the left), and the second shot is Marv looking rather dapper, in contrast to his menu namesake!

Many of you have also likely already heard that he recently passed on September 18 of this year. We would like to say that Marvin Warman wasn't just a longtime customer to us here, he was a friend. He was part of the Chili John's family.

His visits, his stories, and his unwavering support over the years made a lasting impression on all of us. It's hard to think of this place without thinking of him.

Marv will always be remembered here. His famous menu item has become a treasured part of Chili John's history and will remain as a tribute to him. Every time someone asks about it, we'll be reminded of the many memories and friendships he created throughout the years.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Marv's family and loved ones. We are grateful for the many years we had with him, and we will miss him dearly!

To get to the diner and American restaurant on W Burbank Boulevard in Burbank, you can take the bus or train to the downtown station and then transfer to Bus 94. Get off at the stop near the intersection of W Burbank Boulevard and Clybourn Avenue. The restaurant is a short walk from there.
If you are driving, take CA-134 East and exit at Pass Avenue. Turn left onto Pass Avenue and continue straight onto W Verdugo Avenue until you reach N Clybourn Avenue. Turn right onto N Clybourn Avenue and then turn left onto W Burbank Boulevard. Look for parking options along the street or in nearby lots/garages.
