Today we remember our dear friend, legend, and longtime regular, Neil Sedaka. For years, his seat in our booth was more than just a spot— it was part of our daily rhythm. His kindness, stories, and familiar smile will be deeply missed by our Mel’s family. 🤍

American restaurants are known for their delicious burgers, breakfast dishes, and brunch options. And Mel's Drive-In - Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood is no exception. This American restaurant offers a unique dining experience that combines great food with a rich history.
Located on the famous Sunset Strip, Mel's Drive-In - Sunset Blvd is housed in one of the last remaining "Googie" style buildings in Southern California. The building was previously home to Ben Franks, an iconic coffee shop that was a famous hangout for rockers in the 60s and 70s. It is rumored that Buffalo Springfield was formed in the parking lot, and The Monkees were cast based on a call asking for "spirited Ben Franks types." With such a rich history, it's no wonder that this location continues to be an ideal place for celebrity spotting and people watching.
But Mel's Drive-In - Sunset Blvd isn't just about its history. The restaurant also offers delicious food options that will satisfy any craving. Whether you're looking for a classic burger or a crisp salad, this American restaurant has got you covered. And if you're looking to kick off your LA adventure with the city’s best breakfast and fresh juicebar drinks, then Mel's Drive-In - Sunset Blvd is the perfect place to start.
With an outdoor patio offering a full view of the Strip and a large, airy dining room inside where you can play your favorite tunes on the tableside jukeboxes, Mel's Drive-In - Sunset Blvd offers an unforgettable dining experience. So why not visit this iconic American restaurant before heading out to explore some of the famous Sunset Strip attractions like The Roxy or The Whiskey A Go Go? Trust us; you won't regret it!
