Landed myself at GuiJi in San Gabriel, a Taiwanese-based tea brand. Been here for 3 weeks and managed to spot a few familiar faces from BR š¤£
With their famous 33 Kings Oolong, the name itself is intriguing enough to tempt you to give it a taste! This tea is carefully roasted for three days and then aged for another thirty days, which gives it that smooth and rich aroma.
If youāre looking for something with a bit more punch and depth, the Pu-Erh Milk Tea, with its subtle glutinous rice-like aroma.
For something a bit different, the HongXuan Black Tea may be the one. Even though itās called āblack tea,ā itās been processed to bring out the richer flavors of floral, honey, and ripe fruit from JinXuan Oolong Tea.
If you prefer something lighter, the Jade (jasmine) green tea is a refreshing option. However, Iād suggest trying Blooming Oolong for a more enjoyable experience. Itās a delightful blend of High Mountain Oolong and Oriental Beauty Tea.
Just my 2 cents, not going to guarantee that you will love it for sure since everyoneās taste is different. I mean, I like the drinks, and I like it even more if I see more familiar faces š.
No, I donāt get a raise for posting this. Sorry, thereās no popcorn chicken here though.

When BR Boss meets , a tea brand from Taiwan, that made their way to San Gabriel. Of course I had to go give it a go. One of the many tea that I wanted to have, but didnāt get my hands on, Pu-Erh Tea.
Been almost four months without a job. Making up all the lost time with the kid. 2025 made me lose 5 pounds and this four months got me 7 pounds.

My son said to me the other day, āI want to go to dadās shopā
Next day, I made the panna cotta milk tea for him. It was pretty touching, honestly, when he said āThe milk tea is so goodā.
Just a few words, reminding me everything about the shop.
I miss saying things like you again today ?
Waiting by the door for the D&D .cho to come visit.
Saying Hi to for the 7th time on Sunday.
Telling the kitchen to start doing the popcorn chicken rice when walked in.
ās here. Get that minced meat rice ready
No need to get a name for phone order thatās ordering Panna Cotta MT extra Sugar. Ok.. thatās Bailey
Or the Mango Smoothie with Salted Egg Chicken. Ok, thatās
When .kek walks in, you donāt check her out first but looking for the little Mr. Pickles š
And when squad cars coming in.. No worries people, they arenāt here for you but š§.
Andā¦.much more to list š¤£
Iāll still be getting a full time job somewhere, and probably be just selling food/drinks as a side job. Turn my backyard into a mini hang out spot, so I can see some of you guys again š¤£. But first, I gotta get myself a fryer for the Salted Egg Popcorn š.
4 more days till the little one gets out of the wifeyās belly. Excited? Not really. š¤£

Did you even noticed?
Got to be real, tipping seems a little out of hands. You basically tip on everything from hair cuts, car washes, fixing things, uber rides, food deliveries na much more.
Edited that option ever since I started taking over most of the shift while working by myself.
Iām covered with debt, of course I will love to have those extra tip. But having anyone that drop by for food or drinks or even just to say HIII, THAT is a good tip. š
Some ask me why, some gave me the āwth?ā look. I mean I just want everyone not to feel pressured by having to pay that extra.
I may be an owner, a server but I am also a consumer. I know what itās like, š¤£

Sales havenāt been good at all. To make things worse (in a good way), my 2nd baby is coming in hot in April.
As some of you regulars should know, Iām at the shop 7 days a week and up to 10-12 hours/day. Thereās definitely no way I be able to handle both the shop and family together at the same time. A sacrifice has to be made on my side.
Hereby announcing the date that we will be permanently closed. March 15th, 2026.
I really wanted to keep running the business. I wanted to, one day, tell my kids that this is where I met your mother, where I proposed to your mother and where them two are going to be working for free. lol.
It has been great with most of you and thatās what making the closure of the business so stressful.
Bubble Republic may not be around anymore, but Iāll still be around the area, looking for a job, working for someone.
If I can be of help for anyone, for anything, Iām here, , since this page be going into quiet mode after.
Another business will be taking over. They have got boba and chicken as well. The owner is nice but of course, not as good as me. š š
