With Love and Thanks for 51 Wonderful Years: Our Final Message to You 💕

On August 26, 2025, Mi Ranchito closed its doors for the final time. We celebrated with mariachi, laughter, and the incredible energy of a community that has been part of our family for over five decades.

From our parents' leap of faith in 1974 to a tiny six-table dream in Ontario, Mi Ranchito grew into a beloved tradition across the Inland Empire, with cherished locations in Ontario, Upland, and La Verne. Built on the heart and vision of Antonio and Sara Macias, this journey has been filled with joy, hard work, and deep connection.

Over the years, generations of guests became extended family. We watched children grow up at our tables, celebrated your milestones, and shared in your stories. You gave Mi Ranchito its heart.

Mi Ranchito was never just a restaurant. It was a family dream, built with love and shared with all of you. You made our dream matter.

Three generations of the Macias family poured love into Mi Ranchito. Now, as our children follow their own paths, and with no one to carry the restaurant forward, we step into retirement with deep gratitude and excitement for what's next.

Though our doors have closed, your stories live on. Your heartfelt messages and stories mean the world to us, we'll treasure them always.

To our guests: Thank you for every visit, every celebration, and every kind word. You didn't just dine with us, you became part of our story.

After 51 incredible years serving the Inland Empire, we’re serving our last plate on August 26th. Our final location in Upland has been sold, and as our children follow their own paths, we’re stepping into retirement grateful, joyful, and full of love.

With Gratitude for 50 incredible Years!

Our journey began with our parents, Antonio & Sara Macias, who came to California from humble beginnings in Mexico. Our dad worked long hours as a dairy man, milking cows before sunrise. Our mom raised us with love and strength, later working as a seamstress to help support the family.

But cooking was always at the heart of our home, it was how we celebrated, how we loved, and how we stayed connected to our roots.

In 1974, they opened a tiny six-table restaurant in Ontario. It was small, but full of heart. We grew up in that restaurant, working side by side, not because we had to, but because we believed in what our family was building.

Over the years, Mi Ranchito grew to Chino, Upland, and La Verne. We served thousands of meals and shared countless memories. We are thankful for our team many with us for 10, 20, even 30+ years helped shape the soul of this place.

To our guests: thank you for celebrating life with us. You made our dream matter. You made Mi Ranchito feel like home. ❤️

After five remarkable decades of serving authentic Mexican cuisine and creating cherished memories in the Inland Empire, the Macias family has announced their heartfelt decision to retire and bring Mi Ranchito Restaurants to a close.

We have sold our final location in Upland, CA, and will officially close its doors later this summer 2025.

What began in 1974 with our parents, Antonio and Sara, and just six tables in Ontario, California, grew into something far beyond our dreams, thanks to you. With your support, we expanded to Chino, Upland, and La Verne, sharing our love for fresh, authentic Mexican food with generations of families.

Three generations of the Macias family have proudly carried this legacy. Now, as our children follow their own paths and we step into retirement, the time has come to say goodbye.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share our official closing date.

We hope you’ll stop in, reminisce, and enjoy one last meal with us!
