Happy Mother's Day from our family to yours. 💐
La Fogata has always been a family place — not just because we say so, but because a mother built it. Doña Maria opened these doors in 1977 with a vision rooted in home-cooked food, warmth, and the joy of gathering together. That's her in this photo. Everything we serve today started with her.
Three generations later, we're still here. And there's no better day than today to bring your mom in, sit down together, and let us feed your family the way Doña Maria fed ours.

This is Don Vram — the man behind the name. 🔥
Long before La Fogata opened its doors, Don Vram would explore the mountains of Mexico, cooking over an open flame, sharing stories under the stars with family and friends around the campfire.
'La Fogata' means campfire in Spanish. He named the restaurant after those moments — the warmth, the gathering, the food shared with the people you love.
That spirit lives in every meal we serve.

To get to the Mexican restaurant on Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, there are a few options for transportation. For public transport, you can take the bus or metro and get off at the Van Nuys Boulevard stop. From there, it's a short walk to the restaurant.
If you're driving, take the 405 freeway and exit at the Sherman Way East exit. Continue on Sherman Way until you reach Van Nuys Boulevard and turn right. The restaurant will be on your left-hand side.
Parking is available in a lot adjacent to the restaurant or along Van Nuys Boulevard, but be sure to check posted signs for any parking restrictions.
